Official Madden vs ESPN voting thread

Rather than presenting a Madden vs ESPN poll, where anyone can vote anonymously, we have decided to make this a public vote, where everyone's NFL game preference is listed and accounted for (so we can get a better list of players of who would want whichever league).

Before I go any further, a few comments/rules pertaining to this thread:

1. Simply posting "either one" or "I don't care" won't get their vote tallied. It has to be one of the voting options given, or it will be ignored. This is the only way to get a true count here.

2. You will post only one time in this thread. Just respond with your vote and perhaps a short comment. Nothing more, nothing less. All we want are simple responses. We don't want this thread getting derailed into another ESPN vs Madden flaming dump. If you want those conversations, take to another forum off of LG, anything besides a voting response will be deleted.

3. We only want to hear from people who are serious about the league. If you have no intentions of joining a NFL league here, don't vote. If you've been kicked out of a LG league in the past, I wouldn't bother to vote either. I mean, you can, but part of the reason why we are doing this is as a thread (rather than a private poll) is so that we can filter votes from people who we know won't be in the NFL league (for one reason or another).

Now, a few other details about the potential league(s) that we may do here (if you haven't been following along in the long "dual leagues" thread I had stickied for the past week:

1. If an ESPN NFL league remains here (on it's own or as part of a dual league) after the decisions have been made, the existing Season 3 owners would have rights to their current team, for that ESPN league. However, they would not transfer over to Madden (even if Madden is the sole LG league).

2. Both leagues will likely be setup as a 1 game per week schedule. This isn't alot to commit to, but keep it in mind with everything else that will be going on over the course of a 4 month season (other leagues here, Ghost Recon 2 & Halo 2 hitting in early November, lots of people going off to college, etc). That said, this is not an official signup thread, so voting doesn't mean that you are making a commitment to a league (that will come after we decide what to do, have a format for one or both leagues, and have dates lined up for when to start... probably later this month).

Please answer honestly. If you vote A or B, but we only support one game and it's not the one you voted for, that does not necessarily mean it will be held against you during signups for the league (we need active owners, period. I don't care what game they'd rather be playing, as long as they get their games in for our league(s) w/o complaining).

Final comments: If you have any other questions, please re-read this thread and stop skimming, it was probably already answered here or elsewhere. If you still can't your answer, IM or PM me (as I said, we're keeping this thread nice/clean/simple so anything else is getting deleted).

But given the opportunity, I'd play in an ESPN league. I would just prefer it be Madden While I could have chosen "D", I need to say that if ESPN was the choice, I'd have to think a little more before committing. Madden presents no commitment problems for me
