I think we need to give this further consideration. Ive palyed a couple games with it on and it does seem much better. DB's dont run in a circle and get 15 yards off their man in man coverage. They jump for balls they can get and not for ones they cant. They bat at balls they can get and make tackles instead of batting at ones over thier head. I didnt see any drops. Pass rush seems a little stronger. For some reason kick offs are a lot easier to return. May have exposed a flaw in what they did to make them so hard. lots of talk about it in this thread http://www.espnvideogames.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39545
I just dont know. I already have a good defensive team with nothing on offense not sure that I want to lose that advantage.
I think most people's complaints with this game are on the defensive side of the ball, regardless of the strengths/weaknesses of the team they use. For some reason, having EQ on seems to smooth out some of those rough edges (for me at least). I'm still for having EQ on, but I'm cool either way.
I would like to try and play a game with the EQ on, I don't wanna say I am for or against it before I try it.
you know what really sucks? We dont get to adjust sliders for leagues like the NHL 2k5 has. This type of things really erks me with the 2k series. NFL 2k5(VC) comes out and then KUSH improves on the online menus and NHL 2k5 online setup is better. Hopefully next year they think about talking to league sites to improve the setup altogether. BACK on topic: I dont know, i just think that it should be the user controll of the team that makes up the game and not some programing option that is the equalizer for team/player ratings. If it does open up things like returning kick returns, or too many broken tackles then lets not turn it on.
I was for it last year. The makers said it doesnt make all the players 100, rather it makes the total ratings of the teams equal. I like playing off the strength and weekness of a team. And I like that if you put Greenbay in a dome, your in for an uphill battle. Turning on EQ will effect that to some extent, jsust how much? Also with EQ on will scouting a teams rating really matter? What could be cool is will have to look at the players stats from the season to see who is their money man. The really good thing I see is certain teams wont be such an uphill climb to just make the playoffs. I dont know thats enough of a reason to have it. If it helps create a more balanced game im for it.
I just played a couple of games with EG on in legend and it was NICE. The D was a bigger factor in the game. So disregard what i said before and i vote yes if anyone cares
