I will leave that to somebody else, I was mainly posting that as a reminder to those who don't use it, to go ahead and start before they get in trouble for it.

No but you can check your Friends list when two people are playing to see if they're wearing they're headsets :!:

 

But for all we know, they could have the little memory card slot thing plugged in, but not the mic plugged into that.

Yeah, but the icon on the friend's list shows up even when you just have the receiver plugged in.

 

how about honesty???? should this be IN THE LEAGUE GAMES ??? :roll: if it says in the rule, then i think everyone should follow.

 

What if a person can't use this headset, but the person would still play with you and others from this site? What would you do?

 

Don't worry about it, you're given a waiver on this one :wink: ... but everyone else needs to have it on.

Alright, you want me to tattle? DPAnders. He hasn't owned a mic since he first came to XBOX Live. Not only that, but he has made no attempt to buy one, and has never had one.

If you are wondering why I am doing this, it is one with the Pausing Thread in the NCAA, ticks me off.

How can he not own a mic, the starter kit comes with one, unless he uses 2 month subscription

You can now buy kits that come with just a XBOX LIVE 12 month subscription codes, and no mic. The XBOX Starter Kits now usually are more money if the headset is included, as you can get it for $29.99 not separately. It may be broken, but for all I know, it has to have been broken since he first got here.

 

I do have a mic , but its been broke for about 2 months now. I hadn't got around to getting a new one yet, and I just tell people at the beginning of the game"my mic is broke". Most are okay , but Ill be picking a new one up ASAP.

 

This is the exact reason why we have this rule! If someone has a quick phone call they need to get rid of, a delivery they have to sign for at the door, whatever... they need to be able to pause the game and tell you about it so that it can be taken care of.

What makes matters worse is that when a person who's not complying with the rules (no headset) then unpauses the game while the other person is away, causing them to miss a play. That's garbage man, get a headset and wear it! You don't have to talk (although most people find this almost as annoying when the other person is as silent as if they are playing the CPU), but you do need to wear one (so the other person can communicate something when important).

 

Just for the record, most are not 'okay' with it, we just don't really have choice when presented with the situation.

 

Refuse to play, tell the commissioner, you won't be penalized, the guy w/o the mic will.

 

I agree that it is garbage if you miss a play, but he never said anything about going to the door via the EA message like he said...

 

Ummm dude I messaged you on 3 different occassions.

The time I am telling you I said BRB Door, you didn't see it because by the time I got done typing the message...the timer had 3 seconds, and I had run out of pauses....what the hell could I do?

 

considering this is a highly organized and for all intensive purposes professionally run site the competitors should act the same if the rule is to wear mics wear the damn mic aside from 1st person shooters that has got to be the biggest damn annoyance known to man. thankfully i have not had to play anyone here yet who didn't abide by that.
