I am picking the Patriots because they have players that have experiences with previous Super Bowls. Speaking of the Eagles, I think that they have lucky year to win NFC Championship. It should be ugly or close game.
I think somebody's jelous that TO left their team. Seriously though, luck had nothing to do with it. Make no mistake, the AFC had more better teams overall, but Philly was by a LON shot the best team in the NFC. They crushed Green Bay, Minnesotta (TWICE) and Atlanta this year. They would have easily went 15-1 had they not rested 7/8s of their starters the last two games. I still don't know why I went down to that last game against Cincy, what a waste. In any event, I'm going to defy practical logic, because NE is one heck of a team, but I'm going to say Philly is going to win. Call me a homer, I know. However, NE makes a KILLIN off of other team's mistakes. They don't beat themselves. That is one of Philly's greatest strengths. Donovan has always been one of the best at not turning the ball over, but this year he even surpased his normally good decision making. He's the first QB in the history of the game to throw over 30 TDs, 31, and under 10 INTS, 8. If they play another game like yesterday (no turnovers), I see them pulling off a major upset. Man, I'm a 'hommer'.
If TO can play, and if he is effective, then I pick the Eagles. Eagles are without Chad Lewis, that's a big blow. I just don't trust the other receivers. If they don't have TO, then it's not even close.
I wish the Eagles would win, but with Owens sitting. I don't really care for either team though. While Owens was out, I found it really easy to root for the Eagles. It will be hard to watch him and his celebrations and still want the Eagles to win. In other words, I hope there are some good commercials this year
Superbowl halftime features Paul McCartney this year. Think we will see another wardrobe malfunction?
Oh dear god I hope not. Concerning everyone's comments about Owens being a showboat, who cares? The guy is by far the most competitive guy and the league and unlike some people he shows it. I think players like him are good for football, because after all is said and done it really is just there for entertainment. Even though he does a lot of talking that may not be necessary, he actually backs it up. Not to mention the guys is completely straight edge (never drank or done drugs). That is one good role model for kids, they see a player of his strength and determination and realize that drugs aren't the path. He works his ass off all year around and it was a shame to see him break his fibula. I hope he gets to play in the Superbowl as he most definetely deserves it. Best Work Ethic in the NFL. EDIT: I forgot to add that unlike players like Randy Moss, T.O. always gives 100% and never leaves anything on the field.
Right on! He doesn't beat his wife, he doesn't fight with cops, and he NEVER QUITS ON A PLAY. TO might talk a lot of SH*T, but he backs it up on the field.
