The 2 sides are meeting with federal mediators @ this hour. Hopefully this will be good news. Obviously it's good that they are talking. More to come later.

I hope that they will finally and officially declare the season over, believe me I am as hard core as they come but I am tired of the constant false hope. Guy the flower may have hit it right on the head, declare bankruptcy and start over; without Bettman & Goodenow.

Hockey is the dumbest sport in the world! These guys are arguing over more and more money. I hope this league and the sport in its entirety fall apart. Just like that steroid league...baseball.

 

What the hell kind of statement is that? It sounds like something a junior high kid would say.

I LOVE watching hockey on TV, and I LOVE playing tennis...so screw you both.

 

How can you say Hockey is dumb? It's just a sport. Maybe the NHLPA is dumb, or the league is dumb, but how can the sport itself be dumb?

 

The NHL has announced that they will hold a press conference tomorrow afternoon to CANCEL THE SEASON :cry: :evil: :-&

Some in the know are saying this could go on for another 2-3 years :roll:

I beleive that. From what I understand the owners just can't implement a salary cap and go with replacement players. The NHLPA would hold it up by filing a lawsuit against the owners.

This is just the begining of how ugly this is going to get.

Unless the NHLPA conducts a vote and abides by the result, be prepared for at least another season to be washed out next year.

 

I hope they settle this in time for next season......The All-Star game and skills competition are going to be here in Phoenix, and guess who has 3rd row season tickets

At least tennis players have to earn their money instead of signing a stupid contract that promises a set amount of money regardless of how good/bad they play...usually bad. Sports are getting way out of control with money and are ruining everything. Basketball and football are next. Thank God tennis and golf are individual sports because in those sports, if you don't do good, you don't eat. You have more motives to play then a nice fat check.

Hockey sucks! Greedy bastards, they deserve to lose their season.
