does anyone know anywhere i can purchase a card online and they can send me the code.

yeah i was just too lazy to drive out and just want to purchase one online and get the code emailed to me instantly

 

Why don't you just buy them from the Marketplace on the 360? As far as I can tell the $/Points is about the same either way and if you buy them from the Marketplace you won't have to worry about the codes from the cards not working (the cards appear to be sort of region locked so if you buy one from another country the code won't be valid for your Xbox 360).

I purchased points on the Marketplace via Live...much quicker and you don't have to pay sales tax (i think).

 

Yah, they are the same price (dollar per point) on the Marketplace. Why would you purchase them online and have them mailed to you? :?

if it was a Dollar per point the 1250 card I got when my system was delayed would be worth more than the system ( twice over almost ) please tell me that MS is not charging a buck a point....

lol i think he meant about 1 dollar per 100 points. but i think it ends up working out 1 dollar per 80 points.

Huh...we do? I have never spent a dollar on sales tax...unless I am missing something. 25 bucks gets me 2000 points. I check my bill and its 25 dollars, and no sales tax.

I bought the points of through Xbox LIVE around Nov - Dec '05 (dont remember date).

As you can see i was charged taxes. I should of used my gamestop and eb connection like i should of instead of being greedy and wanting Geo Wars right there and then.

Whether or not you have to pay sales tax may depend on where you live. I can easily see New York state law requiring Sales tax to be charged. Most likely depends on the jurisdiction in which you're located. I, too, have never been charged sales tax on the Marketplace.
