    Who's planning on getting this?

I'm pretty stoked about it and was thinkin of starting a clan... but never been in a clan before. Really I just want to organize a bunch of people to get together to play.

Looks to bland for me. From the gameplay videos I saw on GameSpot and GameTrailers, it just looks boring.

There is a demo of it up on the Marketplace everywhere EXCEPT the US and Canada (wtf?)

I'm planning on getting it. I understand that the gameplay is a bit slower and more strategic than what was in the Mech Assualt games... which suits me just fine. Add to that what appears to be an insane amount of custimization to the mechs and I believe it will outweigh any complaints with the somewhat barren environments.

The online persistent war thing could be really good... but I'm worried that if you don't have a team/clan that it would be difficult to be successful. Unfortunately, I don't really want to join a traditional "clan" simply because I don't like to take these games too seriously but I do like to have the chance to be competitive so potentially getting a group of LG guys together sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm all over this game when it drops. I've always liked mech games. Mechassault was okay, but seemed to be more action than strategy.

I'll see you fellas online after I pick this badboy up though.

I know I want it, and I know that I will have the money, but the other bills will take precedent over a game, I already have almost as many as the original xbox had at my home...

No it has nothing to do with the MA series. Think of the MechAssault genre of games with a GhostRecon atmosphere.

    It's really team oriented.

It's made by the same dev team that worked on the Armored Core series, hence all the customization. From what i've read there is heavy emphasis on team effort, though I wouldn't rule out some sort of ind. slayer action.

I played the demo and the gameplay is too slow for me. The demo doesn't show any of the customization that will be available and didn't have online play but if the gameplay isn't good I'm not going to like it no matter how much you can customize a mecha.

Once you guys get the real game please post what you think, I have started to hear some good things now on this game although still the majority have it as a disappointing game.

I have the game in hand but not sure if I'm going to keep it. It sounds like the online is really good and has some depth but you need to assemble a 6 man clan to compete.
