.... I am getting it, I saw it being sold in target this weekend... they are taking a chance selling it early before the release date. I already have it paid off at gamestop, so I figured I would wait. it should be a fun game.
yeah the street date is 8/29/06, I am sure the target that was selling it wasnt aware of the rules they were breaking.
Got mine Thu. night...cant put it down..never been dragged into any game before like SR.Games so fresh,genius..so much to do,crazy,city is a living world very well artistically done.. looks so sweet on HD..btw,dont get me started with car customization at "Rim Jobs" you wont even notice how you're going to pull out all nighter playing this joint
I got it, it's very good althought the older I get, the more I 'shudder' when I think of 14-15 yr olds playing this game.
This game is basically GTA right down to the engine. It's a complete rip off, the only thing they did was change the weapon selection which makes it nearly impossible to change to the right weapon in a pinch. With this wave of next gen games and graphics you think they would be able to fix vehicles just dissappearing for no reason.
I picked it up yesterday. Traded Madden06 + MLB 2k6 and some other XBOX titles (Halo2, etc). I walked out of EBGames with Saints Row and the remainder of my trade going towards EA NHL07. If you have Madden06, and want to trade it now is the time. Madden06 is worth $1.50 in trade, but with the current deal any 2 360 titles traded in will be worth $50 in trade.
I bought it today at Circuit City and recieved a faceplate. I played it for a few minutes and it's better then I expected. However, they asked if I wanted the faceplate free and I wouldn't pass up a freebie.
Got it. I wasnt planning on getting this now but that deal GMB mentioned above was too good to pass up. Getting $50 for 2 old games, including Madden 06 which is worth about $2, was a great deal!
I played for a bit last night, and all I can say is "WOW!" The graphics are great, the voice acting is great and the gameplay is superb. I've never played any of the GTA series, so I was a little leary about picking it up. The game starts off with a BANG! You get tossed into the action almost immediately. I should have read the instruction book before playing though as the controls are a little difficult at first.
