I don’t know if you can call a run play cheese. But I keep noticed im getting beat on the run way too much. It looks like people are running and running and running goal line HB off tackle offense no Wide receiver set and getting major yds off it. IF you see your opponent set up with no wr or a short yardage offense they are most likely going to run. On sure way i found to stop it is run a 46 normal blitz package. Squeeze your LBs and spread your line. The back will most likely be forced to the outside and you should get him in the backfield. Before you play anyone check there gamecast to see if there doing it and get ready for it. I have the colts and they dont have a 46 normal D go figure. Ill have to come up with something.

No one should be using the goal line formation unless your at the goal line or its a short yardage situation. If you are then you're abusing the fatique bug in my opinion.

I think this running issue will be solved if/when they release that patch. Latest i read was its supposed to go to MS for testing this week.

Yes, be forewarned that any goalline formations that are not a goalline or 4th & 1 situation will not be tolerated. I've known about this for a couple weeks when it happened to someone I know. They were able to get huge gains with this. Msg me or Drake if this happens to you in a situation that doesn't call for it.

Good question. Thats why its hard to call it cheese. I think if we just know how to defend it. It will become a non issue. I tried defending it with a 4-3 normal(LB blitzing). I spread the Dline and pinch the linebackers. It worked against the computer on all Madden not sure how it will fare against a person.

Well calling it goalline is misleading because it's really a short-yardage package so 3rd and 1 is ok IMO.

    sorry :(

Just kidding anyhow...I've seen some crazy stuff like that though versus online players. I'm fairly certain I know a play that will blow that up Giotto. It's a nickel man defense...I'll try it out.

Nickel man leaves gapping holes up the middle. But maybe im missing something. We should meet on line and try it out against each other.

not sure what playbook you guys use , but the Oakland Raiders playbook has over 20 great plays , 30 good plays , 25 half decent plays and 15 plays that are great for last ditch effort....
Goal line is weak unless it is 4 th and 1 or you are down by a few with little time on the clock and need to retain posession, I haven't used it or come across it yet so all is good 8)

I do it on 3rd and short all the time. As you can tell by my season stats I'm not an "elite" rusher. If it is 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 I will almost always use the goaline package. Sometimes I get the first, sometimes I don't.
