Just remember that it won't effect us entering the names on the scoreboard and associating them to the player #. You can learn about the players by going to the team's hompage here @ LG and get an idea of the top players.

What about if your opponent goes in and manually names all his players on his team? I believe college hoops this year had something like that. Then you'd see all his names and he'd see all yours. That way you wouldn't have to name every player on every team.

blah... people dont enter the names right half the time.. plus, i'd rather learn the names while playing online.. if i was that interested in learning names etc i will go to espn.com or some other college site.. not having them show up online sucks..

thats what the post was about :) you cant see manually edited rosters online again for second straight year.. current gen you can but not next gen..

alright. thanks. I didnt have the game this season, so I didn't know. That kind of sucks. I loved seeing the real life players as well. So instead of that random guy who killed me, you'll remember a certain player and then when you see him in a bowl game....THAT'S THE GUY. Not having names just ruins noticing those types of players, like you mentioned.

Damn that just made my day. I did find the post at OS:

"Previously it was reported that edited rosters with player names would not display during online games of NCAA Football 08.

However it has now been confirmed by EA that the issue was actually related to a bug in the game that has since been addressed, and that they will in fact display when playing online games on the 360 and PS3.

This is fantastic news for those who edit or import roster files and play heavily online."

I'm glad ea took the time to fix that this year, I also enjoy learning all the names from other teams than my own.

I am still worried about full stats. Last years game only e-mailed you the game summary meaning you had to type everything in manually. I suppose it's not a big problem if your league only records Wins and Losses - but it is always fun to have a Heisman race and see where you are ranking offensively and defensively.

    Thanks and Gig'Em

We record a full range of offensive and defensive stats. It does suck that you can't get everything e-mailed to you. Personally, I just use the trusty laptop and type stats in immediately after any games I win. Oh yeah, winner puts in the stats in case you were curious. Unfortunately, a lot of people have their boxes in different rooms so they have to write everything down manually. There is a spreadsheet floating around somewhere that you can print copies of to get the stats you need after a W.
