NCAA Rosters

MS targeted 360gamesaves.com every file on their website got corrupted with the spring update.. the console id's were targeted and alot of guys were hit, FK included.. he since has a new xbox with new id etc.. renaming the file on ur 360 puts the file in ur id number and not his.. so if they try and hit him again at least the files wont be corrupted on our 360's..

 

Why does MS care if we have NCAA rosters?

 

I don't think its the rosters specifically. It seems to be about files which they deem corrupt or think could be malicious.

 

they did this b/c of people trading files to gain gamerscore points..

 

All that because of people gaining gamerscore points? Seems like a waste of time but leave it to M$ to waste time on something stupid like that.

 

FK's rosters are the BEST, hands down. I won't get mine anywhere else.

 

A LOT of people get theirs from him whether they know it or not. Its funny how people buy rosters every year when its just some idiot using FK's rosters and selling them for profit.

Head over to OS for the up to date scoop, but it looks like roster sharing is still off in 08 due to the MS file lockdown (some think EA). A few have stated a fix is in place, but no sure details have been released yet. Drotar had a story about it on his site, but the details are still not in as far as a fix. I guess we will know more next week when the roster guys make their first releases.

The fix is coming.. if not already here. (hehe) I am just spending a little more time trying to work around the problem and less time working on the actual rosters right now. Don't worry, IF YOU USE my rosters this year you will be fine.

Yeah I saw he was working on a fix. Assuming he finds a solution it'll probably still delay the rosters beyond launch.

 

Good news from OS:

Guys,

I just spoke to Fairdale Kings. We are back in business for NCAA 08. He ran the roster file through a few tests, and was successfully able to load the file using both the Datel software and the Xplorer software.

So...for NCAA 08, we're good to go. I'm going to follow along with Aaron's thinking and lock this thread up. When Shawn Drotar has uncovered more details surrounding the root of this problem, we'll open a new discussion thread up on it.

 

well FK just updated his status.. he said we may see a LATE release tonight but look for the rosters to hit the net on weds!!

Same thing happened yesturday. FK is over his bandwidth limit.

 

Quick question, does anyone know where FK gets his rosters from? I did a crosscheck with his Illinois roster to the official 2007 Illini roster and there was a bunch of inaccuracies. Is there a secret site he gets them from?

 

I believe he just gets them from team sites. Due to time restrictions the initial set of rosters don't have any changes to them. So if EA made a guy white when he was suppose to be black or wrong year or number they aren't changed in the first release. Plus if the numbers wrong, I think if you change that it won't work for online play.
