Hopefully the demo doesn't come out the day before the game.

No idea on the demo...they said sometime in Feb...just hope it's not real late Feb.

The Trailer actually made me think a lot more of this game...there were a lot of animations...hard line drives...and things that made it look more realistic and deeper than 2K7.

And the videos on IGN, which showed some line drives over the OFs head and up against the wall made me happy...there are so many different types of hits in real life...and from what I've read/seen, theres bloopers, hard line drives for both hits and outs, gappers, balls that one or two hop the walls and ones that rattle around in the OF corners...

Even though MVP was one of the best baseball games, it lacked a variety of hit types...you almost never hit a ball in the gap for a double...it was either a single or a HR.

Can't agree with you on that one. I think there were plenty of doubles and even triples in MVP. Not easy to get the triples but doubles did happen.

This game looks smoother to me. The throwing to the base definitely comes from MVP. I just hope the players don't take so long to make a damn throw. I also hope it's more realistic in regards to scoring on a sac fly to the OF. In 07, almost everyone makes an on target throw to home.

Oh no, I meant the MLB MVPs...04 and 05...I think those didn't have many different kinds of hits.

The college ones were good, but not great at hit varieties.

But I think w/ the new physics and hit system, we'll see a whole bunch of different kinds of line drives, ground balls and bloopers...and foul balls.

I think they said they added a whole bunch of catching and throwing animations...so I'm sure they worked some on the camping under a fly ball and setting up for the throw to gun the runner out...hopefully.

I meant the MLB ones, I saw several kind of hits. Those are still my favorite baseball games of all time.

Hopefully they have updated those animations. It was very frustrating not being able to execute a run down properly.

I liked 2k7. The best looking baseball game ever. The big downer for me was the hitting especially online, not fun. I wasnt going to get 2k8. But 2k is really stressing how they revamped the hitting. And after seeing the new pitching and base throwing controls WOW!! Im really hopefull. But I think i say that every year. Im big fan of 2k anti EA type. But i admit MVP was the best baseball game ever. It a shame EA didnt the MLB liscense and 2k the NFL.

it's a shame that the term 'exclusive license' exsists.
