Looking forward to tomorrow. Are you playing on 1080p? I've seen a few videos of the retail version and it looks beautiful.
i heard over at os it depends on ur tv if it better on 1080p and 720p. i forgot that the ps3 doesnt choose the best version for the games so now i have to manually check one only when i play game to get the true feel so today isee it only in 1080p and see how it goes.
I just got a PS3 and I got The Show at the Game Champ in the Bronx. It says on one of the menus that The Show is better in 720P i've got it in 1080p at the moment, I'll switch and see the dif
Sorry guys. I will start a sign up thread very soon. I've been drafting guys in the OTP league. Once completed there will be a sign up thread if you guys are still interested. Thanks.
I'm putting the league on hold until Sony fixes the stability online. I haven't played online yet, but my understanding is that there are some issues. I would like to know the guys that haven't had any issues. Once I get a head count we can start a small league. A PM was sent out to those that were interested earlier this week. I received most but there were a couple that bowed out due to connection issues.
I heard that the recent firmware update, had some game latency fixes...IDK what games it was. I haven't tried online in a bit...anyone been on recently?
I just finished my first game online. Right now I have mix feelings. Im not sure if it was his connection or just crappy servers. The pitching was set to meter (yuck). At times I couldn't see the bars going up or down. Not good. I would like to play one of you to do more testing.
I haven't played a single game online yet, as I'd much rather play RTTS or the CPU then some average joe I don't know online. If anybody wants to, you'll just have to let me know how I send out invites or get mic to work or what not. Since I haven't played a single PS3 game online yet, I really don't know how any of it works. As for the pitching, I love the meter for offline but I also pretty much suck at the timing part of it. For online I think classic pitching would be the better option of the two. That way it comes down more to the pitchers rating then how well you can time pressing the button.
I have the Game as well..Its awsome. Im just Cuirous how u guys put it to 1080p.I have Samsung 4061 and when i play my xbox games i click on my Tv Controler and i hit info and shows 1920x1080p but when i i do it for MLB The Show it shows 1280X720...Can anyone help.. still looks good but i want it at 1920x1080 p
The game actually says on a few different screens that its optimized for 720p. I didn't notice a difference between the 2 tho.
Just figured it out finlly got it to work but u really cant tell the diffrence and if u guys starting a league i would love to be part of it.
hey guys just checking in, as i think i'm getting a PS3 next week. how is The Show 08 online? is the LG league gonna happen? is there league support built into the game?
As far as I know the online is still hit or miss. I'm waiting to see if they fix the online issues. League support is built into the game. I was going to create a league using their league support.
what I've kind of noticed from playing the last month or so... is that, Veteran, the pitch speed is real slow, and real easy to hit. but you go up one level to All Star and it's much faster and much harder to hit. I would think an in between level would have been the best. I also thought of something that would need some testing...play on Hall of Fame...but no balls...turn the all strikes option on. IDK how well it would work...I just think Veteran is too easy and All Star might be to hard. But with the lag, everything is hard, so hopefully the lag subsides.
