IDEA: I know the "Donate" pic is at the top of the forums for guys that havent donated .. How about an annoying Splash page when they come in.. The page would would come up and after 10 seconds, come into the forums. Something that Splashes the number of leagues, heritage, and such with a BIG... "PLEASE DONATE NOW". Im sure other teams do it .. But The Houston Texans page like right now has the "Priority Wait List" Splash page.. Very annoying ..lol.. Second part of the idea is maybe it only comes up for guys that havent donated but are in a league... that way we dont run any new guys off.. lol.. Just and idear

Great idea, but I don't think it would work for two reasons. #1: the annoyance could scare off more people than we think, and we don't want that. #2: there are always ways around splash pages. I have done it numerous times keeping a link to within the site as a favorites and just going to that link directly instead of going to the main site's address.
Exactly....I think the original idea was to encourage donating but now it seems we are moving towards forcing people to donate. If we want to turn this into a pay site we better get used to smaller scale leagues. I think the goal at LG is expansion...at least that's the impression I am getting. I donated last night BTW......sorry it took so long.
Totally agree with #1.. That's why on second thought that it should be for people who are in a league.. That havent donated.. For sure there are Always ways around it ..lol.. Trying to figure out ways to keep it at the fore front with out having to bump this thread every week... Nothing to me is more annoying then listening to radio station that is listener funded and have to go through a money drive every couple of weeks.... Big time annoying.. I think its something that, if we showed them how much is provided... that its a only 20 dollar donation.. I mean Im still unable to do more at the moment but 20 dollars seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the experience you have here. Even in lean times i still like coming here .. Also the problem I see, and i guess Tris can correct me if im wrong... But with the day by day increase in popularity, howbeit NHL team league and so on.. That load on the site cant be that good in its current state. Either way just trying to find more ways to get the word out...
Donated, but I gotta comment on the gross misrepresentation of the Canadian Dollar in your prices It's the US Dollar that's weak, not the Canadian!

Done as well. Unfortunately I could only do the Gold donation for now. If I don't upgrade before this expires, I'll hopefully upgrade next time. But I did do the $25 option not that it makes that big of difference Not sure if I'm understanding this wrong and hate being a pain with the smaller donation, but I'm only showing a cap of 100 Private Messages. The above looks like I should get 500. No big deal, yet. But I was just curious.
