Hey all. I got an e-mail from Best Buy today that said

In the fine print it says the gift card value is $50. So for those who are Rewards Zone members and did not get this message, or if you aren't a member but have a receipt proving your purchase was made before 2/23/08, I would give them a call and make sure you are going to get the $50 gift card.

This offer is good on the Toshiba stand alone player and the XBOX 360 add on.

    thanks

Btw, I have to say its very kind of them to do this. They have no obligation to us (especially for me, mine was bought Christmas 06) either way I am looking forward to my 50 $ GC.

If you don't own one already, I would say waiting a little while for another inevitable PS3 price drop. That way you get a Blu Ray player and a game system.

I want the best looking pictures for movies, but am not that impressed with a PS3 for the value of the gaming system, but if you are gonna spend that much money on a movie player, you may as well have a game system go along with it.

I got the same email. I bought an A3 for $169 back in November, and an A30 for $169 back in December (along with a total of 19 free HD DVD's).

Looks like my deal got even better. 10 of those free HD DVD's were via rebate (crappy movies). The 2nd copies of 300 and Bourne Identity got me $15 each on eBay, and the other 5 free movies (free off the shelf) I returned to Walmart for store credit ($150 total).

With my $100 in BB gift cards, I'll be down to $60 total cost for 2 HD DVD's players and 12 free movies (that I haven't yet sold). Wow. I don't care that the format is dead, they make a helluva upconverting player.

That is awesome Jon....but I can't believe Walmart took them back. I thought they pulled all HD-DVDs off of the shelves.
