wow November Rain? I assume all the piano would be played on guitar? Or maybe my dream of a keyboard is in this version lol Lots of great tracks. Looking forward to "My apartment", "When I Come Around" & Satisfaction
I heard a rumour that there would be about 300 songs off the launch. I found that hard to believe though.
Well if you include the fact that all your downloaded songs from Rock Band 1 will work on Rock Band 2, it could roughly be 300 if you bought a good majority of the tracks.
That list there is 81 tracks. A lot, but ya still off by a bit if they want to have 100-300 songs. There should be a point where they include all the older songs on a disc or something as a bonus. I'd pay for that
there's probably close to 200 DLC songs available now, so making it to 300 by RB2 launch is no problem (especially with 15 The Who songs coming next Tues). there is also a lot of rumors about RB1 songs becoming free DLC, or being copied to your hard drive so you don't need to switch discs. $60 for 80 new master tracks is worth the price of admission alone. not to mention all the new and improved game features. the only question left in my mind is will the GH:WT drums work with RB??
lol is that really a question or more of a wish, cuz i think we all know the answer will be "no"
It's a wish, but a hopeful one. The GH3 guitars work with RB (on X360 at least). Activision has to realize people don't want two drum sets in their living room. RB came out first, so they have an uphill battle. Activision bought Red Octane who owned the GH name and had all the experience making game peripherals. So why not produce a better set of drums and make it compatible with both games? They know there is no way RB drums can work with GHWT because GHWT has an extra pad/cymbal.
I agree with you 100% murph. People don't want to 2 drum sets or have to keep upgrading this stuff. But i believe i've already read the GH:WT drums won't work with Rock Band (cuz they claim the next pad). Side note, you know what song would be perfect for RB2? Hotel California by the Eagles. This would probably be one of the best songs to sing along too, I wonder if GH has the Eagles already
Ok if the Dream Theater song is in the game, then I'm getting this! (as I sit and type this I'm currently wearing my Dream Theater concert shirt....go figure!) Must be said there are some killer tunes in this game.. I really like the "impossible" songs.
Awww man, now I wish I didn't read this list cause now I want RB2 even more. I hope that list turns out to be most of the final cut. Lots of goodies in there.
i have to think NO ONE knows the answer to this question yet. well except maybe the GH playtesters. all the hands-on events have been private, hosted events. at the Activision hands-on, i doubt they were about to let some journo's pop in RB to check compatibility. now maybe after E3 if IGN, Gamespot, whoever, gets a copy of the dev build, they can try it out. without compatibility, there's no way in hell i buy the GHWT bundle. i've already got RB and prob another $60 worth of DLC. also, i believe GHWT is also copying the "only available as a bundle" strategy from RB at launch. so they really need to add any/all features possible to get people to buy the bundle. if they can provide compatibility when RB can't, i think it'll help their sales. mapping RB's 4th pad to one of the cymbals can't be that hard. i do believe GH announced some Eagles, although no specific song yet.
Wow. Waiting on the World to Change is about the worst John Mayer song they could have put on there. There are so many powerful blues songs he does they had to go pick a stupid pop song. Belief Neon Covered In Rain So many better choices these are only a few
Fuel...really...thats the best metallica song they could get? well im sure it's hard for them to get what they wanted....Guitar Hero Metallica is in the works
the entire track list that came with RB will be avail as a free download at launch. ( not the dlc just the stock tracks ) DLC is also compatible with RB2
Update: Upon further summation, the video seems fake. Many of the songs are spelled wrong, and the background is not moving as it does in the original game. It's a decent fake, but probably fake, nonetheless. Here's a link to a video that shows the current Rock Band song selection: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6koMT2n-izE And here are some of the misspelled or wrong titles (from the video in question): Santaria - Should be Santeria What's Your Frequency Kenneth? - Should be What's The Frequency Kenneth? Want To - Maybe a Sugarland song, but that's unlikely to be in Rock Band Rodeo - Should be Down Rodeo (Unless it's Garth Brooks) Plus many songs on that list just seem really unlikely said it on the bottom of the website is it true or not
