i liked 2K8 offline, but online was a disaster. the pitching controls did not deal with lag very well. also, online was still a slugfest. more sim please.
ive liked all of them including 2k8. I didnt see a big difference online from 7 to 8 like most people complain about. We all knew about the lag and delay, it seemed like once you adjusted it was fine. cant wait for the new one though, maybe they can fix some of that and keep the baseball fans happy.
that's just it though...why was there a delay in the first place? it was impossible for me to play franchise offline and LG online. the timing was completely different. i really liked it offline, good concept, nice and smooth, responsive. online - laggy, jumpy, not smooth, not responsive, chuck and duck.
This is probably the most accurate depiction of what the game was like. The only way i found you could play online was playing '' Simple mode '' with the non analog Batting and Pitching controls.
I've been playing the builds for 2k9 for about a week now. I can't comment on anything of course other then its coming along great
Nice cover, good for Tim! I thought 2k8 was a decent game. The lag was a problem, but every baseball game I played had that problem. The pitching controls were tough to deal with on any level above Pro. I hope 2k9 has more intelligent AI.
I think team play would be awesome Hearst. They have an online baseball game for the PC that is team play, the concept is good but the game itself sucks.
I truely hope you got rid of the meatballs in 2K9. Those were the most frustrating part of playing online. I didn't mind the anolog pitching or hitting so much (other than hitting it seemed you needed to be perfect at times), but the meatballs ruined the game for me. Not every "off" or bad pitch should become a fastball grooved down the middle. Bad pitches should go in the dirt, out of the zone, and every once and a while down the middle. Just not everytime. I think that's what seemed to make it a homers fest at times. Sorry for the rant. Getting back in subject.....cover looks great. I saw Tim on MLB Network a few days ago talking about how they did the motion capture to get his "unique" pitching style down.
