Are you still taking 20% from all the buy ins?
Yup, and to your point, it's not even just the gameplay, but something as simple as getting a game setup is a chore with the state of NHL right now.
I don't know how many people want to spectate a game where you have to restart 6 times just to get 12 players in the game.
Feel like this should be launched for 18 only because 17 is just beyond lackluster in many different areas.
We are seeing a lot of negativity on here towards this strictly because the game just sucks. If the game was good, we would all be speaking a different tune.
With that said, anything that can possibly enhance my experience playing this game I am all in.
More features = more work= 40%
Why are you so ungrateful Hayes?
Go back to league arena where you paid $10 to change your forum name and had a stat system that was brokeb and didn't have conference standings that worked
Since I can't calmly voice my displeasure with this sentiment with a rating of "old" without you deleting the rating and removing my ability to give ratings all together. I would like to post that I believe the sentiment is old.
Thanks Brodie, seems like Tris doesn't give a fuck though.
How foolish of me! Because big companies who supposedly want to sponsor this want to see someone take 40% and have the players win huge amounts of money for this. Guys are reaching for the stars and trying to capitalize on something that isn't there.
We are trying to give the community something more to play for.
There is no real gain for me in trying to help out lol and for anyone who knows me this isn't about a monetary gain. That's what my career is for.
I must've missed the falling out of Nuge and Tris. Seems weird to not have him in on this.
This looks like a cool idea, the game isn't very fun in 6's to me, and it's half broken, but you have to keep the community in case we ever get a working game again.
I am still confused on how this is any different from a variation of Pro Series? Seems kind of odd to have an announcement about something that was basically already on LG and not really talk about how it will be different (aside from the qualifier thing, but last Pro Series season basically had a qualifier element to it).
I know you said you hope for there to be sponsors down the road but that was also said at the very beginning of Pro Series.
This will be great if it actually gets backing and support, 2K will be successful because 2K is backing the E-Sports Jump we are nothing to EA
It's pretty much a combo of pro series and Year End playoffs. The three buy-in qualifier events are used to create a leaderboard for the invitational at the end of the year. The pro series like invites are suppose to be season only no playoffs to make the season games count that much more and have the playoffs at the end matter that much more. If there's a tie that affects a pay out at the end of the event there will be some sort of tiebreaker.
The top 12 or so teams off the cumulative three event leaderboard get an invite for the no buy in year end tourney which is suppose to have the highest pot out of the four events. There's also been discussion of giving the three event winners automatic spots in the year end invitational so they don't have to participate in all three events.
Obviously a big thing with this will be whether or not @Tris10 and @LG McDonald can secure sponsorships for this. I know they have some leads.
@Nuge has done a great job with pro series in the past and has done more than anyone in the past for competitive club. But it's always nice to have someone who doesn't have a horse in the race be in charge. @LG McDonald has a better track record than anyone in running leagues and will do a fine job.
In the end it's just nice to have something to play for again. Hopefully NHL 18 will be a good game and then this can really take off.
Sorry for the @SweeT 9 LoU 84 type post
TL;DR Good sign for the NHL series hopefully EA gives us a good game next year.
Run this on NHL 10, it was a better game.
I've taken up e-jogging in order to get ready.
Looks like our sponsor might be the NHL itself lol
Not sure if the NHL would be using this, but its something to keep in mind. They'd want rights for everything Id think and would work directly with EA on this.
Otherwise, this is a decent idea. With previous experience in this community tho, unless things have changed, this will be hard to get off the ground. Good luck guys.
Please make a versus option @LG McDonald, the other money sites are garbage and you could earn a lot of money as the only site that has active NHL players.
worldgaming, gamersaloon and major league gaming all suck
If you could play versus, HUT and 6's for money on this site it would be the shit. I honestly have a lot more interest in single player games than any other mode
