For GH2, I painted both of my explorers, and got pissed with all the potential pitfalls of painting, so for GH3, I used self-adhesive vinyl that I got from a sign making company. Its a lot of cutting, but I highly recommend trying it. Here, it is $2 a sq ft which for this design turned out to be cheaper than buying the paint and clear coat spray cans.

Replica of Zakk Wylde's Buzzsaw Les Paul. Still need to put one logo on the headstock, and then just have to pimp the fretboard a bit.

Anyone else try a little customization?

nice. i took the easy way out. i ordered a couple of decal skins yesterday via ebay.

one is Eddie Van Halen's red/white/black paint job and the other is a wood looking brown/yellow color.

    Looks good woob.

I can't wait to get GH3, and I'll probably just get one of the pre-made skins, how much are they at retail?

I like the ones murph posted too, looks pretty cool.

the faceplates are $15-20 in stores

the skins were about $10-15 on Ebay + shipping = basically the same price :(

but there were alot more skin choices than faceplates

Yeah Rk I also saw some that offer front and back vinyl skins. I'll have to check them out when they are available for Rock Band.
