Any one here play in a ball hockey league

Yeah I know ball hockey in Canada get more serious the more west you go. I’d say tho there is prob 2-3 teams now (used to have 5-6) that Prob could compete in the higher tiers in other provinces. Few guys in league played for team canada. Just the skill on team have like 2-3 highly skilled guys then rest usually buddies that wanna play hockey. Any of y’all leagues got some vids of games? I enjoy watching them. I’m the only guy in my league that attempts any type of vid

 

What team do you play on in Tier 1?

 

Really depends on what league/ where it's being played. I've played in tier 'a' that is comparable to tier 4. No real good way to compare tiers. Even at the provincials there are tier 3 teams that would beat some tier 1 teams.

 

Yeah exactly. Really depends on the talent pool in the league. Be different if say, the league was full out competitive with good incentives to finish well (medals , trophies , cash etc). League I play in has a top prize that is close to just 1/10 of what it would cost the team to register to compete. So the willingness to win at any cost isn’t there. Of course everyone gotta want to win but like for my team that I run. I find it’s hard to get the guys to really want to commit to upping their play for the league. We just show up to games and play.

I rememeber my first season my buddy got us a coach. Only team with a coach. Was hilarious but I don’t have a hockey background so it helped me. But still was funny looking back.

 

Yeah, you won't really see coaches until you hit tier 1/2 in gta/peel. You would be suprised at how many nhl/ahl players actually play in the summer though.

 

Yeah I still find it weird to see grown men with ball hockey coaches. Dont see as many NHL players coming out to play as there were in years passed

 

Brampton jets had Malcom subban and Tyler Randell playing for a bit last season. I played against Taylor raddysh last season,and surprisingly he wasn't anything amazing. Just goes to show how different ball and ice can be.

No was not played in the OHL at start of the winter ice season so I stopped playing tier one half way thru cuz was too much doing tier 1 and 2 then Ice stuff on top of that bunch of my buddies went tho

 

Cool. Midnight has won back to back. I know a bunch of guys on the War Pigs.

Im supposed to be go to nationals with a tier 4 team, but that whole thing is a cash grab, so I think I'm opting out.

I was on a few. Won tier 4 with goodfellas in provincials. Lost in tier 3 with pig workers

 

Yea I remember playing the pig workers last summer cuz tier 2 played tier 3 team for a game or 2 last season
