    Anyone Board for rea

Just as I was planning on starting to learn how to snowboard, I moved away from Virginia, and to Texas where there will never be enough snow to try it. I might be able to do it on a vacation sometime, but as for now, I still haven't tried it.

I equated it similar to skateboarding, is that assumption correct? If so I think i'd be pretty decent at it and at least be able to get down the mountain.

Yeh I wake, skate, and snowboard. And they are all pretty much the same. It sucks though I moved from ND to AZ about two years ago so I dont go as often just spring break and christmas trips to UT and CO. I hope that Flagstaff, AZ gets more snow this year so that their areas will be open for more than 3 weeks.

    I snow ski whenever possible.

Went to Heavenly in Lake Tahoe last year, did Vail a couple years before that, Breck, Keystone, etc.

Never got into the snowboarding scene though.

I ride as much as i can. My main spot i would got to at least 10 times a season in Va was Massanutten. They had a great snowboard park and some nice slopes. SNowboarding is alot like skateboarding to a degree, poping off the lip of a hit(Jump) is similar to skateboarding like poping off a kicker(launch box or ramp). i'd say take a lesson or two before you try to conquer a slope you'll thank yourself.

    sweet!

No snowboard for me yet, though I may have to correct that. Just found out that a bud of mine has access to a ranch to stay at outside of Aspen. Gotta hook that connection up. Will only cost a plane ticket and lift fees.

But for now here's my only board, still haven't broken her in yet, so she's still got her cherry...

I snow boarded when I lived in California, but that was awhile ago. It was definitely more fun than skiing.

Its basically a skateboard mounted onto a smooth waxed surface of a snowboard... I'll try and find a pic....

Here it is.. they do look kind of weird, but we sell them at the store I work for, and they have been pretty popular the past 2 years.

in the store i put one on the floor and it seemed really heavy, I tried to do a kickflip and it didn't quite work too well. But I only gave it one try before the wife bowed her head in shame and looked at the other moms with their eight year olds and said "the big one is mine". I had fun though!
