Section One : Roster Assignment and Restrictions

    1.1 : Sign Ups

Players whom sign up after all bidding sessions are completed will be randomly assigned.

During the Playoffs, the signs ups for the following season are open.

    1.2 : Salary Cap

NBA Salary Cap : 17.5 Million

1.3 : What Counts Towards The Salary Cap

All ten players listed on the roster, their salaries will count towards the cap.

When a Player is serving a suspension, their salary will count towards the cap.

LGBA Owners will have their salary cap set to zero.

When a Player is on IR, that player's salary does count towards his or her teams salary cap as the player is to be ECUed for while he/she is on IR.

1.4 : Exceeding the Salary Cap

Teams are eligible to make a transactions (call up, send down, waiver claim, trade, etc) that would put their roster over the salary cap.

Once a team is over the salary cap, that team is required to make an additional transaction, prior to the start of their next scheduled game, to ensure the team's roster is not in violation.

    Best Practice Recommendation :

Review roster daily to ensure that the team's salary cap is within the restrictions listed above. It is extremely important for LGBA management to communicate among one another when call ups or send downs occur to ensure one transactions does not cause one of the rosters to be in violation.

1.5 : Roster - Positional Limits Restrictions and Exceptions

Each NBA roster must carry a total of ten active players on his or her active roster!

Each organization is only eligible to carry at maximum two members of NBA Staff (Commissioner Staff or BOG) on their active roster.

A team is eligible to be OVER the roster limit and or salary cap as long as the team meets the roster restriction requirement prior to their next scheduled regular season or playoff game.

A Player being used as an ECU, does not count against the roster limit or salary cap, and can also play any position.

A player on waivers does not count towards the cap.

    1.6 : Free Agent Bidding

Bidding is a system created to allow for Managers to assign a value to each Player as well as fill their roster needs for the following season.

1.6.1 : Free Agent Bidding Process

Prior to LGBA bidding beginning, the Owners are given the option to which members of their management team will be given access to the bidding session. Owners must also ensure their Managers have their positions set prior to the start of bidding. Failure to do so will result in the manager playing the position he or she played in their previous season.

Also prior to bidding, each team is given a predetermined amount of cap as well as roster spaces that can be filled during bidding. This is based on how many open roster spots are available, and how much current salary cap a team has prior to entering bidding.

Once bidding begins, teams are eligible to start placing bids on Players they wish to acquire for their roster.

In the LGBA, the minimum salary value a Player can have is $500,000 and the minimum bid increment that can be issued is $250,000.

After a bid has been placed it will expire eight hours later, unless another team outbids the current bid.

Once a bid has been outbid, the eight hour clock resets.

The team with the highest bid on a Player when the eight hour window expires will win the Player’s rights at the current salary they bid.

    Best Practice Recommendations

Scouting is the most effective way to determine the value of each Player in bidding.

Ensure the roster limits and restrictions are reviewed constantly during the bidding process

Prior to bidding, create a list of Players you wish to bid on. Also ensure you list the maximum value that your team is willing to spend on each Player.

Use the LG Mobile app to bid on the fly when you are unable to access a computer

Be aware that during bidding, site traffic increases and it may cause a few slower load screens. Always ensure you bid once, because any registered bid will be counted as a legit bid by the team who placed it.

    1.6.2 : Bidding Restrictions

Teams are ineligible to exceed the cap during bidding.

Teams are ineligible to exceed the roster limit that is predetermined prior to bidding.

Players whom act in a manner that is deemed to circumvent bidding or to change the outcome of where they may end up can be removed and issued a seasonal ban by the League.

Players have the ability to ask to removed from a living bidding session. Doing so will not allow the player to play the duration of the season in which he or she is removed from. If a player has a pending bid, and asks to be removed this will be deemed a ban.

    1.7: Player Contracts

After bidding is completed, Management teams are issued a set number of contracts to distribute among the Players they won in bidding.

    1.7.1 : Contract Distribution

All players won in bidding will be given one season contracts with the option of one, two season contract being able to be given to a non-management player won from that current season’s bidding. ***NOT VALID FOR S23***

    1.7.2 : Contract Restrictions

LGBA Players must accept two year deals in order to make the contract offer official. Management are required to send the contract request via the Contract System located in the Front Office tool.

Once contracts are issued and accepted by the player they contract cannot be retracted.

Not all contract years are required to be issued.

Management with a salary value of $0, are ineligible to receive any additional contract years.

An offer sent by an Owner or Manager that is rejected by a player does give the Owner or Manager the opportunity to send that offer to another player ***NOT VALID FOR S23***

Section Two: Seasonal Transactions and Restrictions

    2.1 : Seasonal Ban Requirements

Seasonal bans are issued to Players who have no longer been able to fulfill their commitment to their current team or the league.

In order for a Player to be removed, the Player’s Management must file a request, via the action center.

Any request filed that does not provided adequate proof that the Player in question is inactive will result in the complaint being void.

    2.1.1 : Seasonal Ban Procedures

Owners/Management may only make requests that Players be removed if:

    The player is inactive

    The player quits

Act in a manner that is detrimental to the League or their team may be removed and issued a seasonal ban.

Inactivity is defined as but not limited to:

A Player not showing up to scheduled games (three in one week) without contacting management prior or shortly after the game explaining why the Player was not able to attend the game.

A player whom receives three strikes in the duration of a season would be considered to not have the required amount of time committed to the League. Therefore accumulating three strikes in the duration of a season will allow a managers to file a player removal request.

Two strikes issued during the duration of a playoff series also can result in a player removal.

A Player, who has an inactive gamer tag, is considered inactive.

A Player, who does not respond to a League removal warning within 72 hours, is considered inactive (restricted to Players on TC)

A detrimental act is defined as but not limited to:

Situations that would be considered cyber bullying.

Playing in a manner to ensure the team loses.

Telling a team you do not wish to be a part of their organization

Any MAJOR breach in the CoC.

Conduct during bidding with the intent of deterring teams from bidding on said player.

    Best Practice Recommendations (for Players):

Ensure that your availability is submitted on the website so there is proof you actually submitted it.

Ensure to send a PM to your Manager whenever you cannot attend a game you were scheduled for. That way there is a paper trail to protect against a wrongful removal.

Ensure that if a gamer tag change is made, the request is also put in on the website as well. That can be done via the Action Center, under the request section.

Ensure that if a removal or warning notification is issued, to respond to the notice immediately.

If a situation occurs that is upsetting and causes a Player to not want to play any longer, it is highly recommended the Player contact the Player’s Association prior to quitting. Making a decision when angry is never a great option and can lead to a regretful decision later.

    Best Practice Recommendations (for Managers):

When submitting a request for a Player to be removed, ensure that proof is provided that proves inactivity.

Ensure that your Players are educated on using the website correctly.

Only submit a warning or League removal with justified cause. Any notification submitted without reason will not be deemed as adequate proof.

Ensure that when a Player misses a game without reason, a strike is issued PRIOR to submitting a request for removal.

    2.1.2 Capital Punishment

A capital punishment is the new system added to replace site bans. Site bans MAY still occur but will be limited.

A capital punishment MAYBE be issued for but not limited to:

Second tag issues, account recovery issues (using and or knowing about and not co-operating with staff)

    Refusal to play.

Acting in a manner deemed a detriment to the team as listed above.

    Threatening another member of LG.

    Conduct issues

    Threats against the site

Three conservative league bans within the duration of a five year period.

Reference this POST for more information on the new ban buy-out and ban policy.

2.1.3 : Seasonal Ban Appeal (Players)

To make an appeal, file an appeal using the "appeal" option found in the action center.

ALWAYS SEND A FOLLOW UP PM FOR AN APPEAL! ALWAYS FILE AN APPEAL ON THE VIOLATION ISSUED TO YOU! ANY APPEAL FILED UNDER THE "GENERAL" CATEGORY WILL BE REMOVED!

A successful appeal will result in one of the following:

A Player wishes to continue to play, and will be placed on waivers.*Only applies while the normal waiver wire is open.*

The Player being placed on the Retired list. *Automatically occurs when a player wins an appeal after the waiver wire is closed*

    Best Practice Recommendations :

File an appeal as soon as possible

File the Appeal via the Action Center

All appeals are handled by @Nekski , so if you have questions let him know!

2.1.4 : Seasonal Ban Appeals (Owners, Managers)

Owners and Managers may request to have their ban appealed. Each appeal is reviewed by the league commissioner.

Once a Manager or Owner accepts their contract via our offer system he or she is locked into that role for the duration of the season.

Management and Ownership at each level is considered a single season commitment therefore if an Owner or Manager steps down, quits or is removed from the League they are INELIGIBLE to return to the league during the season of their removal.

Ban buyouts are also not an option in the first season of a ban issued to a Manager or Owner.

If a Management appeal is won, the Manager will be given the opportunity to return to the League the following season in good standing allowing them to resume a role as manager again.

    Best Practice Recommendations

Contact League Staff as soon as possible

Make sure all communication is done through the website

    2.1.5 : Seasonal Ban Punishment

Seasonal bans can be issued in three different degrees.

1st Degree Ban is defined as : Two season punishment issued to a Player/Manager

2nd Degree Ban is defined as : Three season punishment issued to a Player/Manager.

3rd Degree Ban is considered a Capital Punishment.

Staff reserves the right to determine the degree of the ban.

The League Commissioner will then make an announcement prior to the season starting to educate Players on what their responsibilities are.

Management may also make a suggestion of what degree should be issued to the Player whom is receiving the ban. Players / Managers who are issued a seasonal ban in the final three weeks of the season will be issued a ban for the remainder of the current season, as well as the entire next season.

In the final three weeks of the season, and during the playoffs, the League reserves the right to upgrade first degree bans to three season bans due to time of the season in which the ban occurs.

Being removed from LGBA will not allow you to sign up for any other LG games while the ban is effect. Being removed from the LGBA will remove you from the LGBA on the opposite console

    2.1.6 : Seasonal Ban Buyouts

Players who have received a seasonal ban are eligible to buy their ban out.

The ban buy option will assign a player BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL TEAM'S TRAINING CAMP ON THE CONTRACT HE OR SHE WAS ON AT THE TIME OF THE BAN.

Managers and Owners are ineligible to buy their ban out until the first season of the ban is served.

This ONLY applies to the league in which the user was a manager in.

Starting in January 2018 we are going to update our ban buyout policy based on the most commonly received feedback from management and players. The most common requests are

    Increase buyout for repeat offenders

At a certain point the length of the ban should be served and can not be bought out

No chat mute buyouts for certain lengths

These 3 requests will be part of our new policy, as well as a new classification of "Capital Offense". Capital offense will replace site bans. here is a brief point form of the changes

Moving all currency to CAD from USD

Tiered Ban Buyout Amounts (over a 5 year span)

    1st Offense - $50CAD

    2nd Offense - $75CAD

Capital Offense (3 or more in a 5 year span) - $100CAD. Below are points for anyone with a capital offense

Must Serve a min 3 season ban

Includes a 6 month chat mute

If its a ban for the LGHL, can not play in either the Xbox or PSN until the min 3 season ban. However while this person is serving a capital offense they could buyout and play in other LG leagues (ie FNP, ESHL, CanAm, LGFA ect)

Must pay the ban to ever be allowed to come back and play in any league at LG. Capital offenses do not expire over time.

Any chat mute that is 6 months must serve 2 months of that mute that can not be bought out.

There will be no more site bans, anyone who's caught 2nd tagging, blatantly cheating or any other action we determine necessary will instantly be given a Capital Offense.

Those will be the new changes, However a lot of people do not know the current buyout rules that protect managers so i want to post those below to remind everyone

Any player who buys out mid-season will be returned to their current team and contract (no player can buyout of a contract or who they play for)

Anyone who quits mid-season isn't pulled off any roster position in other leagues (as long as its not LGHL) but can not signup for any new season/league at LGHL while under a ban

    2.2: Buyouts Requirements

Management/Owners may buy out a Veteran or Amateur Player to have them removed from their roster.

Buyouts are ONLY an off-season transaction are the ONLY time a player MAYBE played on waivers during the off-season.

    2.2.1 : Buyout Procedures

The team buying out that Player will be charged a cap adjustment equal to 50% of that Player's salary, rounded up to the nearest $250,000. The cap adjustment will be applied to the Owner's salary.

The Player will be placed on waivers, and offered to teams via the waiver wire at 50% of that Player's salary rounded up to the nearest $250,000.

Although salary is affected, contract years are not. Thus, if a Player has a 3 year contract and is bought out, said Player would retain their 3 year contract. Only the salary is affected.

All Players released and not picked up will be randomly assigned with the Player retaining their Veteran Status.

    2.2.2 : Buyout Restrictions

The minimum salary in all Leagues is $500,000, therefore no Player who is bought out can go below that salary. If a Player is bought out who is $500,000, for example, that Player's salary would be $500,000. The penalty to the team buying the Player out would also be $250,000 (half the Player’s salary).

Any Player/Manager/Owner that does not have a salary ($0) are ineligible to be bought out. AGM's whom maintain a salary are also ineligible to be bought out.

Buyouts are ONLY an off-season transaction.

    2.3 : Waiver Wire / Send Downs

The waiver wire is located in the LG Front Office Tools. The waiver wire is the location where Managers/Owners can place a claim on a Player.

The LGBA waivers are broken down into two different periods. Regular Waiver Period, and Conditional Waiver Period.

Regular waivers opens after bidding is completed. Regular waivers close three hours after the seasonal trade deadline is completed.

Conditional waivers begins immediately after the regular waiver period ends, then closes 24 hours after the season is completed.

The intent of conditional waivers is to allow LGBA teams to make roster adjustments if a late season claim is made.

    2.3.1 : Placing a Player On Waivers

By accessing the Front Office tools, Management / Owners are able to place their Players on waivers.

When a team wishes to place a Player on waivers that Player will remain on waivers for a period of 24 hours. At the end of the 24 hour prior, one of two options can occur :

Option one: if the Player goes 24 hours without being claimed, the Player will report to the original team’s affiliate.

Option Two: if during the 24 hour period the Player received a claim, once the 24 hour period ends the Player will be assigned to the team with the highest waiver priority.

Managers are able to retract a player from waivers within the first (3) three hours the player is listed on waivers. After the three hour period, or if the player has a claim, the team is no longer eligible to retract the player from waivers.

    2.3.2 : Claiming a Player off Waivers

The winning claim will be awarded to the team with the highest waiver priority that placed a claim. Once a team has successfully won a Player, they will be moved to the bottom of the waiver order.

Teams are eligible to place a claim that will put their roster over the cap and or roster restrictions as long as a corrective transaction is made prior to the start of the team’s next scheduled game.

Management are eligible to contact players on waivers to ensure the player is active prior to the team placing a claim.

Management are to ONLY place a claim on a player them intend to schedule, use on their active roster or trade them. Therefore a team(s) MUST show intent prior to waiving the player again!

Failure to do so SHALL result in said player being returned to his or her's original team and placed back on waivers!

    Best Practice Recommendations :

Ensure the player you are placing a claim on is in fact the player you wish to claim.

    2.3.3 : Waiver Wire Restrictions

A team is only eligible place a maximum of two players at any given time on waivers.

Teams are ONLY eligible to place a claim on a player that the team intends to use as an member of their active roster.

If a player who was taken off waivers is placed back on waivers to circumvent the roster limit - salary cap rule, this will result in a violation being issued to the manager who is involved in this action. The intent of this rule is to allow for managers to correct a mistake if the wrong player is placed on waivers.

Teams are ONLY able to place a claim on a player whom is listed on waivers if the team has intentions to use said player on their active roster! Managers MUST show intent to schedule, play and or trade said player(recently won from waivers) prior to being eligible to waive said player again. Failure to follow this process will result in the player being placed back on his or her's original team's TC.

Teams are not eligible to claim their own player off waivers.

Player's claimed off waivers whom are inactive do not result in compensation for the team whom makes the claim.

A player on waivers cannot play in a game until he or she is claimed and won or the player clears waivers.

Players whom are deemed inactive are INELIGIBLE to be placed on waivers. Failure to follow this rule will be deemed a "bad faith" transaction resulting in a violation.

A player(s) listed in a pending trade are ineligible to be placed on waivers

Managers cannot be placed on waiver.

2.3.4 : Waiver Exceptions, Exemptions and Conditions for Conditional Waivers

After the normal waiver wire period is completed, Conditional waivers begins. Conditional Waivers is meant to allow teams to make roster adjustments in situations whereby a last minute waiver claim is made. These are the conditions whereby conditional waivers applies:

LGBA team wins a late claim and is over the roster limit and or salary cap. The team is eligible to send a player down to ensure their LGBA roster is correct based on the roster and salary cap restrictions.

2.3.5 : New Owner Player Contract Opt Out

New owners hired in the off-season are eligible to drop players from their organization back to bidding without a cap penalty being applied. Owners whom are promoted mid season that return to Ownership are also eligible for contract opt outs.

    2.4 : Call Ups

Players can be called up from the LGBA TC to the LGBA.

There are two different types of call ups; full time call ups, and emergency call ups. Below are the restrictions regarding both types of call ups.

2.4.1 : Full Time Call Ups

In the LGBA, Players from the training camp, can be called up to fill a full time roster spot.

In order to make a call up from the TC, the Manager/Owner must access the front office tool.

During the playoffs the only time a full time call up is deemed acceptable is to fill in an open roster spot for a player whom was removed during the playoffs.

    Best Practice Recommendations :

Ensure to check the players status via their gamer card prior to call up to ensure the player is eligible

2.4.2 : Requesting to be Placed On the Injury Reserve (IR)

Any IR request MUST be sent to the Team's management.

If the team decides to place the player on IR, the request can be made via the Action Center.

Managers are ALSO responsible for inform staff when the player is required to be taken off IR. Players are also not eligible to be taken off IR during the playing week, only before games begin on Wednesday and after games end on Friday.

Players can only request to be placed on IR for a MAXIMUM of two weeks per season. The week do not need to be consecutive and DO NOT reset for the playoffs.

    2.4.3: Emergency Call Up (ECU)

An emergency call is a player whom is used as a "fill in" for a scheduled roster player when a roster player is unable to attend his or her scheduled game.

    Best Practice Recommendations :

Ensure that the player being used as an ECU has not already been used the maximum amount of time as an ECU.

    2.4.4: Emergency Call Up Restrictions

TEAMS DO NOT NEED TO CALL A PLAYER UP TO THEIR ACTIVE ROSTER TO USE SAID PLAYER AS AN ECU! SIMPLY FOLLOW THE SCHEDULING PROCEDURES IN THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE IN REGARDS TO USING AN ECU PLAYER!

When a player is traded, his or her ECU limits reset allowing the player to the eligibility to play the full 10 games a season as an ECU for his or her's new team with a maximum of 3 games in one given week.

    2.5: Random Assignment

There are two different types of random assignments done in the LGBA.

All randomly assigned players who sign up pre bidding but do not receive a bid will be assigned to a LGBA Training Camp at a 500k cap hit. There is no limit to the amount of theses players that can be call up on an active roster.

Any player who signs up after bidding has began, during bidding, or during the season will be assigned to a LGBA Training camp at a 2mil cap hit if they have 0 games played in LGBA, otherwise they will be assigned a 5mil cap hit. You may only have a max of 3 of these players called up on an active roster in the NBA. (For S23, no RAs that signed up during or after bidding can be called up)

All random assignments are issued a one season contact. Player Assignment closes the last week of every season.

    Best Practice Recommendations :

Always keep an eye on your training camp to ensure you always have a large amount of eligible call ups.

Communication between management and training camp players is important to keep training camp players active.

    2.5.1 : Player Assignment Restrictions

Aside from the restrictions related to call ups, it is important that Players whom are assigned to a training camp understand their role.

Unfortunately training camp Players are not required to be scheduled the same as full time roster Players. The training camp roster is more as a pool for emergency call ups, or as a replacement full time call up if Players are removed from the active roster.

The League has come up with a system to ensure training camp Players remain active in the League as well as are eligible to show off their skill set to the rest of the League. This system is often referred to as "Training Camp Games".

    2.5.2 : Player Rights Assignment

As stated above, all Players in the LGBA are issued rights to NBA Organizations. These rights are issued for the purpose of emergency call ups, as well as replacement full time call ups.

This system is complete random, and the League Staff hold no ability to influence this system at all.

Once Players are assigned rights, they will show up in the "LGBA Training Camp".

NBA teams are able to trade Players that they have rights to, to other organizations in normal transactions.

2.5.3 : Player Rights Assignment Restrictions

Reference 3.4.2 : Full Time Call Up Restrictions.

    2.6 : Trading

Trading is a major part of the League. There are several rules, procedures and restrictions in regards to trading. Below are the sections that Managers and Owners should reference when making trades.

    2.6.1 : Trade Deadline

The seasonal trade deadline closes the Wednesday of week six at 6 PM EST. League weeks start on a Wednesday and end of a Friday.

For the off-season trade window reference section 4.2.

    2.6.2 : Submitting Trades

Each week, from Wednesday at 6:01 pm EST, until Friday at 11:30 pm EST Managers / Owners are able to submit trades for the week. During that time frame, trades will remain in a "pending" status. These trades are reviewed and approved by the BOG.

During the weekends, auto approval for trades will no longer be an option, therefore the League BOG will be reviewing and approving all trades.

Any trade(s) submitted PRIOR to Wednesday at 6:01 pm EST and are deemed accepted will be approved by our BOG.

    2.6.3 : Trade Restrictions

Management are only eligible to make trades for their own team.

Players on waivers are not eligible to be traded. Players in a pending trade cannot be waived.

Once a player is confirmed to be traded, the player is not eligible to have a player removal request filed against them until the trade is processed.

Any special agreement or circumstance must be outlined in either a PM or in the "Trade Note Box" It is up to the League's BOG discretion to disregard any "condition" they deem not in the best interest of the League.

Waiving compensation must be posted in the trade notes and or via a PM that includes league staff from the league in which the trade is being made. No other forms of waiving compensation are deemed official.

Trades involving Players who have a pending removal complaint will be reversed.

Any Manager or Owner who steps down will have every transaction they made prior to them stepping down reviewed. The period of review will be within 14 days prior to an Owner or Manager resigning. It is the up to the League to determine if the transactions were made in bad faith and or are considered lopsided and unfair.

Members of Management are not eligible to be traded.

Teams are only eligible to make a maximum size trade of three players for one player.

All trades made for "nothing" are reviewed and can be reversed or rejected at the BOG's discretion.

All training camp trades that are made with the intention of manipulating the assignment system can be and will be reversed by the BOG.

Players whom are retired CANNOT be traded until they have unretired.

Trades MUST be sent via the LG trading system to be official!

Trade discussions may only consist of Owners and GMs of each team. Players or other managers outside of the discussed trade may NOT know about the trade details if the trade is pending staff processing. Failure to do this will give staff the ability to reject pending trades at their discretion. Please keep all trade talks secret to avoid this.

    2.6.4 : Trade Compensation Criteria

If a Player receives a season ban in the first eligible week of play, the team removing the a Player may request compensation from the team they traded with.

Week of eligible play is defined as :

The week after a Player returns from IR.(For situations where a Player is traded and requires IR for their first week on their new team.)

First week of the season (off-season trades.)

Trade compensation requires submission via the Action Center.

Once compensation is granted there is no compensation for the pieces issued.

Players whom are traded during the off-season then retire results in one of two options:

The team whom has the player(s) that retired can opt out of compensation in favor of maintaining the retired players rights

Trade is reversed, whereby the retired players rights belong to the team whom traded the player in question.

    2.6.5 : Trade Compensation Procedures

The BOG will determine if the situation outlined in the compensation request meets the criteria to issue compensation.

Once compensation is requested via the action center, the two teams involved in the compensation will receive a message to work it out among each other until Tuesday 11:59 PM est (of the current week, or of the next week if compensation is requested on a Wednesday).

Once a compensation request is made in the action center, the League BOG will inform both teams involved there is a request for compensation which will require the pieces from the original trade to be frozen if they are NOT yet traded.

If teams do not agree to a compensation trade, the trade that had the player move to his new team will be reversed. With all the players moved back to their old team.

    Particular Situations :

In a situation where Player A and B goes to team B vs Player X, and then player A and B are trade to 2 different teams and player X quit, after the message being sent, BOGs will determine a player to be sent considering the stats, salary, position and contract

In a situation where player X goes to team B and then is traded again to team C and quits, team C can file for compensation against team B and team B can file afterward against team A.

The preseason is not considered an eligibility week, therefore a player quitting after week 1, whether he played preseason or not is considered a valid situation for compensation.

If a compensation is granted and the player who was issued a ban buyout's said ban, that player will be returned to the team that had to give up compensation for that player being removed.

    Deadlines :

Tuesday 11:59 PM est : time limit where BOGs will let teams figure out a compensation between them

After Tuesday 11:59 PM est : Compensation will be dealt with as soon as its possible

Wednesday noon : Time limit where BOGs will handle new compensation requests

Via PM, two teams can agree to make a trade that will not require compensation in any situation!

ALSO the note system can also be used for teams to agree to a no compensation trade

    2.6.6 : League Trade Reversal

If at any point in the season or off-season an Owner/Manager steps down the League reserves the right to review any transaction made prior to that member's departure. If a determination is made that some transactions were made in bad faith, those transactions will be reversed.

In the interest of the competitiveness of the league, any trade deemed to be "fire sale", "one sided, without justification" can be reversed by the Leagues Commissioners.

    2.6.7 : Player Trade Request

Players are eligible to request a trade. In order to so, that request must be made via the Action Center.

    2.6.8 : Trade Request Restrictions

Players are issued a traded request based on the contract agreed on. Here are the list of restrictions applied to trade requests:

Trade requests are ONLY honored for league in which the player files the request for.

Drafted players are ineligible to request a trade during the FIRST season of their entry level contract! If they do make the request is is voided and issued back to said player to utilize in his or her's second season.

The deadline to request a trade is one week prior to the official League trade deadline.

Players whom accept a two season contract, are eligible to request one trade during the length of their contract.

Players on a single season contract are not eligible to request a trade.

Managers have until the trade deadline to trade players whom request a trade. Players whom requested a trade and are not officially traded by the deadline will be placed on waivers.

Players whom publicly announce they formally submitted a trade request will have their request revoked.

Players whom retract their trade request are ineligible to formally request a trade until their contract expires.

Players who have an outstanding trade request but are placed on waivers will not have their request given back to them.

    Recommended Best Practice :

Players on single season contracts, or players whom already used their trade requests are eligible to contact their teams management and request that they may be traded. The team's management are not required to trade the player but a mature agreement can be arranged.

    2.7 : Management Seasonal Promotions

During the season, any player promoted to Owner or GM will have their salary reduce to zero, and their contract change to 1S 0R.

Players whom are promoted to AGM will retain their current salary. Their contract will also be reduced to one season.

Section Three: Off-Season Transactions and Restrictions

    3.1 : Re-signs

Teams are being given one resign per team. This offer is to be send be the team’s owner and the player receiving the offer may accept or decline the offer as they wish. The salary, if accepted, will remain the same for next season.

    3.1.1 : Resign Restrictions

No resigns for Training Camp players

No resigns for someone coming off a resign last season

No resigns for players with $0 value contracts.

    3.1.2 : Sign And Trades

No resign and trades are being given at this time

    3.2 : Off-Season Trades

No off season trades are being given at this time

    3.3 : Off-Season Transfer Wire

No off-season transfer wire are being given at this time

    3.4 : Off-Season Waiver Wire

The waiver wire is closed during the off-season.

    3.5 : Retirement

During the off-season, players whom wish to retire from the League may do so by filing a request in the Action Center. Players are reminded to retire from the LGBA, regardless of what league the player is currently in.

Also during the off-season, players whom wish to unretire MAY do so by contact the League BOG. The deadline for players to unretire will be 5 PM, 3 days before NBA bidding.

When a player retires, his or her's contract will not freeze in the system. Therefore a player on a three season deal, whom retires for three seasons will return as a free agent. But that same player whom is on a three season deal, but only retires for one season would return to his or her's ORIGINAL roster, at the players salary at the time of retirement.

The system will place the player on the Organization training camp by design, but based on the rules said player in question SHALL be returned to his or her's position either on the LGBA active roster.

Once the unretirement deadline has passed, all players whom wish to retire are ineligible to do so.
