yeah, I can't believe England lost it. Damn France and Zidane, I wish he was of some other nationality than French....he is too damn good :(

As for the rest of the tourney, my pick would also have to be Holland or the Netherlands...whichever you want. Hopefully England can go farther in the World Cup 2 years from now though.

I saw the entire game. I think that the England Goalie should have stopped the free kick, but he had no chance on the penalty kick.

Zinden Zidan(sp)? owned in the injury time

don't count out those czechs, they might surprise some people and by how this one started it seems the upsets.. although tough with 16 top notch teams, are in the making.

that was an excellent match eng vs fra.

i hope more games are like that, and bekham missing a penalty ... come on. silly boy what was he thinking...ooooh bartez... hehe.

ok time to watch some more encore action.

i don't mind working during the day as long as no one spoils the scores for when i get home to watch.

    makes it more exciting.

anywho, cheerio <--- i hate that rooney guy on engerland..booo

England still has a chance to make it far. They face two weaker opponents(if there is such a thing). So if they manage to win both then they are good to go for the next round

No such thing in soccer nor hockey, two semi-similar sports, as you don't have to be an all-star to score a goal....it just depends on how the other team happens to play on that night.

Yeah because you live in Canada, a country that appreciates how great of a sport soccer is more than the United States. Soon hopefully the U.S. will be more into it....its a growing sport. It is actually growing a lot since the successful run to the World Cup by the U S of A in Germany last year.

As for England, I would have watched them too Skater...but it was the last day of school and had to take a French final ;)

haha that sucks for you then....French is quite the boring language and I'm unsure as to why I'm still taking it after 5 years....But England got completely outplayed today yet were able to come up with the 3-0 win....If you watched the game you'll know what I mean

i can now stop avoiding this thread as i watched a bit of the game.

And ya, that sucks that you guys south of the border have to pay for get the games. We have about 4 major sports networks in Canada (TSN,Sportsnet, CBC & The Score) so there's competition to out due each other, In the states the only real national network i can think of is ESPN

Well there is also Fox Sports, but it is regional coverage, depending on where you live.
