Broken Xbox 360 List

My Launch 360 never broke but had a rather wierd problem. After the system was off for long periods of time between sessions, when I would first boot up the game, it would freeze within 5 minutes, usually in the first or second minute. I would simply reboot and then it would work fine. Well I got sick of that after awhile, and had a decent connection with EBGames at the time and was able to swap it out for a new premium for minimal cost.

Since then its been smooth sailing on the 360 I bought in the spring.

 

I am on my 2nd xbox...my launch system failed in January

 

I am now on my 4th box. Origial system was picked up March 22nd... (give or take) that one kept freezing in late april/may.... box 2 went red after arrival here in OR about a month or so ago. Box 3 went red about a week after that..... no problems yet on box 4

 

I got mine last year on dec 24th, it broke approximately in may 06.. i am on my 2nd now

 

On my 2nd system, my launch one died in the spring I think.

 

im on my 2nd xbox , got mine in july and it died 2 weeks ago .

 

this %$#@ machine which i purchased January (left overs from the release date of 11/05). it died on me early November. i purchased the regular 360 and kept the HD from my fried box. im sending my box to xbox for them to fix/replace it.

I'm on my second. I purchased my first in March of 2006. It broke down in July so I sent it in. When I got it back it worked fine for a while and than it broke. So I took the broken one to my BX on base and exchanged it for a brand new one. No problems yet. In this process though I lost my 60+ hour save file from Oblivion

 

My first 360 purchased in mid-feb 06 crapped out on me around August of 06. Replaced it at Bestbuy and has been running smooth since. Only froze up once while playing GoW.

 

my system never worked from day one , it was sent back to MS and I had to wait approx. 6 weeks ( due to mass shortage ) for replacement not repair. I received ZERO compensation.

 

Well I got the three rings of Red Death tonight. So I guess add me to the list. I got my xbox on opening day and this is the original. Damn.

 

Add me to the list...hopefull third times a charm and the new replacement won't go tits up. Off to BestBuy to exchange it now.

 

i bought the service contract through best buy...I'm on my third one. I just keep taking it back and exchanging it; the first one (a month after launch) crapped out right after I put the first game in it. Two weeks later the second one crapped out. The third one has been great.

i am on my 4th. my first system locked up all the time exchanged it and 2nd and 3rd ring of death the 4th went out to ms for service they sent me a new control for the wait but said nothing was wrong with it but they replaced the drive and fan, says on the work order in the system when i got it back so far only minor problems here and there

 

Add me to the list too. I got mine on launch day. It crapped out December 11, 2006. 3 red lights of death and I cant get it to work. I am now using my buddies core system as a backup. I heard that original pre-06 boxes can be sent back to microsoft for a free repair....????

 

i have a feeling mines a few months away the freezing is slowly begining to snowball (own it 3 months so far)

 

i just called MS and they said NO you cant return the system free of charge. Born on date is 10-28-06....this is effin crap!
