Media Buying out a ban and playing the same season

Was originally issued a 3 season ban:
"...player messaged manager and refused to play for the team unless he was traded"

He was traded, then quit. Bought out ban and placed back on Iowa, the AHL team of Minnesota, where he was.

Should players be allowed to buy out their ban and be allowed back into the season they get the ban or should they be banned for the current season and not allowed back in until the following season?

 

Hell no. The situation described underminds all rules that we have in place regarding players not determining where they play.

If you quit a season you should be done for the season. I think the logic in that is sound.

 

Hell no. Find another way to monetize the league. The league needs a clear direction. Is it a free league or is it not? The idea of buying out a ban for a free league is ludicrous imo. Ban them for the rest of the season and they can come back next season for free.

 

If a player is banned for any reason, they should be 100% done for that season. if they want to buy out the ban and return next season they can do that. a player returning after a ban is not the way it should work at all and is just a cash grab.

 

Only way a player should be able to come back from a ban in the same season is if they appeal and their appeal is granted for reinstatement.

Ffrantic quit on Grand Rapids last season too but powers above me prevented me from banning him. He's a habitual quitter. Players like that will pull out the credit card faster than they do for HUT packs.

 

I agree, if they appeal the ban, then yes they could return. other than that, nopeee

 

Frantic is scum of this league. Ban the kid make him wait. Don’t trust him either will steal your ps plus.

 

If Frantic can pull this kinda shit to get his way then I should be allowed to buy out my ban and not have to wait. FIGURE IT OUT

 

And the fact that he already pulled the trade me or I quit last season is complete bs. These are the kinda people that hurt the league , not people with inactive tags that forgot to merge them ...

Def not. Depending on the severity of the ban I think they should have to pay to play the next season too. Or find somewhere else to play.

It will never ever matter what we all think.

The rules circulating around banning are soft as fuck.

We ALL know it is a broken system that is hurting the league, that being said - you can make these polls until you are blue in the face and we can all be in agreement, it will not ever ever change.

Absolutely should be banned for the duration of the season they quit in. Maybe throw in removing their player status (Rookie/Veteran/wtfe you guys use) so that players have to earn their way back up and they can't immediately go back to the higher levels until they've proven they're not shitlords.

 

Seems like a favoritism system tbh how in the hell does datsuk get a 3 season ban and able to buyout and return the same season? When I had a 2 season, yes i had a management ban all though I didn't deserve it but I had to wait until the next season no matter what didn't even have a chance to fight it was like talking to bots not humans! Hmm sometimes I honestly wonder what goes on these days!

 

I think if you get banned, depending on the severity, you should have a higher buyout.

1 season ban - $50
2 season ban - $100
3 season/Capital - $200

Buyin gets you back in THAT same season. This system will filter out the people who won’t commit because they won’t want to shell it out. If you want to discipline, always bite the wallet. It will also keep people from making the same mistakes while also giving them another chance.
