Clamps Retires from NYR GM Position - How this impacts the Rangers. Last night T1 Clamps went ahead with his plan to retire from the New York Rangers General Manager position effective immediately. Clamps, who had surprisingly been struggling to obtain a win until last night, has left Hendry and his team high and dry only two weeks in. This leaves the Rangers in a huge hole. If they want to replace their top pair d man it will have to be through trading. Doing so would cripple their team elsewhere. It is also unknown who they will take on as a GM to free up the cap space for said replacement. Either way, it's a terrible situation for the current 2nd place team in the conference. Damn first he can’t beat me out for the starting LD spot on Turning Point and now he loses to me in LG biggies and quits RIP @T1 Clamps
