Well, not much to say... We had 3 opportunities to close out this series after a 3-1 Series lead but we didn't. Congrats to the Oilers in a job well done, you guys showed us why you finished 1st in the West. I still feel like we had a chance to advance, but you guys made sure we didn't. Everyone had us gone in 4, but we showed them we could somewhat hang by going the distance in the full 7 games. So, in closing... good luck next round & bring the Stanley Cup to the West. From the first puck drop til the end you guys played playoff hockey. Played around hot goaltending and got the goals when needed. Of all teams to lose to id have no issue loosing to a classy team non cheaters like yourselves, the league needs more teams like this. Good work and best of luck to all of you next season.
Game 1 and 2... Avs Goalie duo steals the show, making 33 saves in these games. Avs PK is phenomenal and manage to get 2 shorthanded goals. Are able to walk out of Edmonton up 2-0 Game 3. Oilers hold on to lead as time exprires. Oilers back check hard. The game comes down to the last minute, solid play both ways, goalies putting on a show on both sides Game 4. Avs tie game with 5seconds remaining in 3rd period, and gain their first lead of the game in OT. Game 5 and 6. Oiler facing elimination, cash in on TOA and force the deciding game. Game 7. Oilers win. TL;dr Very interesting series, overshadowed by how we were supposed to win in 4. Avs brought Team D and a stellar performance by goaltenders. Under-rated team, what Sebby built in half a season was pretty impressive.
