Well then, was just taking my time creating a course from scratch and just as i created the 6th green the screen turned completely black and the game starting humming, had to shut off system.

    Yeah yeah... stupid me for not saving after each hole (if thats possible without being extremely inconvenient

    Does anyone know how to set the wind speed on the created course? Thats all I have to do to finish my course is change the wind.

    Edit: just read that theme dictates wind speed, so my course wont have much wind, dev's say they may change it later so you can edit wind speeds on your courses.

    b3rgy7 or PHJ314 or Tris when making a course is there a way to start without a pre made layout? or start from scratch? I know it was asked before, but I can not find the post for the life of me.

    @Heimbecker , when choosing the number of holes to start with, select ZERO.

    I enjoyed it. I shot a +1, found myself using the 5 wood off the tee about 75% of the time, I liked the far and narrow fairways made it challenging. If I hadn't 3 putted twice I could've came in at about -1. The greens were a good balance of challenging but not too frustrating. I liked how they played soft on approach but didn't lag when you putted.

    Had a nice flop-in to save par on 8 though. Ill attach the highlight clip

    Just created a links style course. Very open and long. Lots of bunkers and small greens. Greens are very sloped other than around the whole. Lots of sucker pins. If the wind is blowing at 7+ mph it could be very very difficult.

    The course is named Albion Meadows. Par 72. Not super hilly but some longer holes to a hill

    Also this course was completely custom made. Didn't use any generated features

    @l Bucksey l

    How long did it take you to create it from scratch?? I've been working on a course nightly since the game dropped, and I've only completed 8 holes! lol

    I did this one in about six hours. Didn't have any plans so I just built a hole and whatever came to mind at the time I built. It's much easier to build without trees and to many hills. I'm going to try and put together a 3 day course that is very tight and difficult. Something where 1 to 2 under will be the best you can hope for. Something that is challenging even without wind.

    I created a little 9 hole course just to get my feet wet. I am definitely making upgrades on my newer course that I am working on now. If anyone would like to play the 9 hole course it is called Hickory Bends CC.

    Figured this was the best place to post this question ...

    when creating a course - is there a way to specify a certain time of day or lighting? While the maps view should help out....isn't visibility sometimes a factor when golfing? Like if the sun is right in your eye during sunrise ?

    ...not a true/real golfer here as you can tell...but just curious - haven't seen any courses with that being a factor

    I believe there is, but the only thing that changes is the direction the shadows off the tree face.

    As an avid golfer the sun does become a factor but mainly when trying to see the ball fly. When hitting you are looking down so the sun isn't that blinding. And when playing on a more serious level, I will walk off yardages on each shot. The sun isn't too much of a factor. Shadows make putting tough though. So look to make things tricky with a long shadow from a tree, cutting across the green. I don't believe the sun is even visible on this game.
