What is a better AHL format for playoff qualifying? Top 4 from each division or top 8 from each conf

    It's an endless argument. No one can win definitively. Leave it as it is and teams in 5th with good records in those tough divisions get left out and are upset. Switch it and teams that are 3rd and 4th in the "weaker" divisions that would normally qualify get left out and now they are mad. So using the simulation route is most fair and has the least bias. Listen I'm a guy that can appreciate a playoff ticket. This season is my first chance at playing past week 9. You learn a lot from being left out IMHO. Use it as fuel for the next season. Or use your free time to produce some media. ;)
