that would be cool , remotely fire up the 360 to start the DL....

start playing as soon as you get home, I like it!

 

I got to play it early this morning. It's a pretty decent demo. Some of my pros and cons.

Pros:

1. Atmosphere seems to be a little better than last year. There were some cheerleader cut scenes.

2. Formation audibles. About time. One of the better last gen feature

3. Play call menu. Easier to navigate and pick your plays since you can use the 4 face buttons to pick you plays.

4. Slide protection

5. Playbook. Hopefully all playbooks were redone. There are a few new plays in the demo. So far I found one possible money play.

6. Player models. They look a lot better than last year. Can't wait to see the alt unis.

7. Wide open game play. I love defensive battles, but it appears this season the offense will have a huge advantage.

8. The running game is sweet.

Cons

1. Commentary. It appears to be the same. I was choosing a 2nd down play but the announcer says it was 4th down. This happened a couple of times in the only game I've played so far.

2. CPU Passing. For Varsity level, the CPU seems to be too perfect.

3. Fly by defenders. One of the things I hate from their football series. Defenders warp out of nowhere to intercept the pass.

4. Pass rush seems to be lacking.

Overall the game will be fun with the wide open game play. Both playbooks have a ton of new plays and neat formations. My impressions are from playing one game.

Played it. Gotta say, even though it was cool to play as OSU, the game didn't "wow" me at all. Seems like most of the same stuff. I didn't notice DBs jumping out of nowhere. I'll try it more tomorrow.

I have come across a problem! I can't find my Xbox 360 Tansfer Kit cord. I can only find my original Xbox cord. God why did I have to move!!! Time to tear apart this house, I have until release to find it.

 

It was probably a fluke that it happened in my first game. I haven't seen it the past 2 games.

 

That won't matter with the EA locker room and online franchise will it? I'll have to find mine too just in case. Its been in a box since september.

 

First time I played it and it locked up my XBOX. The second try was successful but it felt like last years game. Hopefully Madden will feel improved.

 

it feel very familiar , and that is not a bad thing...

I saw a few things that they have tweaked, blocking is better and strip ball actually strips the ball! controls feel tighter and passing / running feels more fluid. This is only a demo and short time with a hands on, but I am looking forward to this release.

i likes is it me or when with the player with the ball feel more free like when u cut one way u go right away. i played a buddy of mine in it and the bluff playin calling is great

 

I think the difference is in the details. Seems like the new modes, especially online dynasty, will be the highlight of this game. It didn't seem like the AI (or my own defenders) were as apt to pick everything off and take it back for a touchdown like last year's game. I was actually able to throw over LB's a few times to a receiver without them jumping like Superman. We'll see though, especially when the retail version hits.

i liked it. gameplay is a little the same but overall it made me want to get it now.

 

Only got a chance to play one game but felt a lot like last year. But if LG does the online dynasty, I'll pick it up as soon as it out. Otherwise, I may rent it first before I commit to a regular league.

 

Which begs the question, which 12 would be part of the first dynasty. It would have to be reliable vets who haven't been behind deadlines all the time or bailed out in the past. Maybe an interest thread for a league, dynasty or both? I know if I would only want to be in the dynasty. I also know interest falls off for NCAA after about the first month since Madden comes out. Hopefully that will change if this game doesn't blow out of the box like last year's.

Edit: on the topic of the demo, my kicker got iced and I couldn't see the damn kick meter. How crappy is that? I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that "feature".

 

Yeah for the dynasty to work, it'd either have to 12 popular teams or 12 vets who the commish knows won't lose interest or who doesn't buy Madden.
