Denhams Award Predictions

Due to a mute that has gone on for too long, Denham has asked me to post his predictions for him. This was all written by @Coach Denham


I decided to come out of my hole and put together a much needed IN-DEPTH awards predictions for this season. I actually looked deep into some numbers and came up with a bit of a different perspective for MVP and DPOY candidates so you can see what separates them from each other instead of just looking at points per game or steals per game. Firstly, I came up with 5 guys who are above the rest of their competition and should be considered for MVP. Below you will see two different sets of stats for each candidate or “Splits” as I like to call them. The top stats will be their averages against the majority of the league and the bottom splits will be their averages against a group of the top 9 lockdown defenders that the league has to offer that myself and a few others compiled, I think this will really show what they can do against the best competition and who really deserves to be crowned MVP. The group of locks consists of: @A Sniper13, @Beardo526, @Better Clutch, @Coach Denham, @ItsDashDummy, @Raynor, @th4 x w4ll, @Torched Xans and @Zero Choice. Honourable mentions would be: @ItsDashDummy, @KhoreyHouks, @Rainy iPM and @YungTickle. You guys might have been considered if you were on better teams with more of a supporting cast like the guys below.

My MVP Pick: This is a tough one for me but it would have to be between D Andoo99 and th4 x w4ll. These guys are on a 13 game winning streak dominating on both sides of the court and they’ve been consistently beating the best talent in the league. Although their numbers aren't as flashy as their counterparts you see above, that 13-1 record and 6-1 against the top locks/lines in the league put them ahead in my opinion. *Worth noting that Snype has played out of position this season for 3-4 games which may have affected his splits. Regardless if he had played PG every game, I don’t think it would have put him above D Andoo or The Wall for MVP.


For Defensive Player of the Year, I have 6 locks and 2 centers who are above the rest. Since its defensive, offensive numbers don’t affect too much but I still feel like they need to have solid offensive numbers to be considered. Below you will see “Opponent Points Average” which is the average amount of points the opposing team scores against said player and “Matchup Stats” which is the stats of the opposing PG for the on-ball locks and the opposing C for the centers. I know most teams run zones so these aren't as accurate as IRL stats could be BUT its still an indicator of defensive skill for the most part.

My DPOY Pick: @th4 x w4ll. This guy is a defensive animal and his stats show. What this guy does to point guards in this league isn't fair.. Just wait until he has his Legend. Might be the first MVP and DPOY in the same season.

Manager/GM of The Year

@xRICKOSHAY: He has once again built the deepest team in the league on both sides of the court and wouldnt be surprised if he goes back to back. When @Flems506 moves onto the 1st line for big playoff games, that might be the only line in the league that will take down the Hot Grizzlies.
