Current Salaries 1st round picks will have a two season, two million dollar contract. 2nd round picks will have a two season, one million, two-hundred and fifty thousand dollar contract. 3rd round picks will have a two season, one million dollar contract. 4th round picks will have a two season, five hundred-thousand dollar contract.
If the goal is to mimic the real NHL, they really aren't fine. A lot of players, especially goalies, are probably relegated to the minors during their ELC but deserving deserving of NHL play . Unless a guy is lights out as a rookie , like I was, why would an owner fill the bottom of his roster with draft picks when he knows there will be somewhat serviceable 500k players in bidding ? Making cap hits for DP more realistic would allow teams to play the best they have in the org
If the realism is what your after then they should all be 500k-1M with bonuses adding up to 25 million lol
We actually need quite a bit more drafted players in teams organizations. Only 124 prospect players come out of the CHL. I dont know know the exact number of Ps that are out there but Im pretty sure its almost 1000? The NHL struggles pretty hard when it comes to quality players because just the vast amount of good players in lower leagues. So even if the players arent good they still serve a good purpose in the organization because the are waiver exempt.
