EASHL servers vs. Lobby servers

As we all know, club servers have a far superior connection speed and game quality as opposed to Lounges or Geography. Would it be possible to play LG games on club servers? I know that last year's CanAm was ran in club, and from what I've heard there were no issues. Now that the new game allows you 2 joins per hour, I can't think of any solid reasoning not to make the switch to the club servers. The Moose players I know seem to like that league regardless of the talent simply based off the fact that the connection is so good in club. Discuss.

 

Does all moose really play in club though because I haven't had a single series in a club yet this whole season. I also believe at the beginning of the last VHL season this was brought up but at the end of the day with the out there this won't work with a 17 man roster. Some idiot will not be able to join till like a half an hour later or won't be able to join because they're coming in as an ECU and was already playing. Let's face it there is just to many idiots out there that will not let a simple thing like this run smoothly. I like the idea if it wouldn't be a hassle personally.

 

plz no more polls, the will revamp the league completely by the time bidding starts and owners will be rattled at accepting a spot for a dif league that they even signed up for

 

I agree, it would be a great idea if we could get everyone on board. But from my personal experience, you usually end up with one or two guys who don't want to leave their top 100 clubs because all their stats would disappear from there. But like I said, if we could get everybody on board with this idea it would definitely be worth looking into. Right now I just can't see it working though.

 

It's a good idea it's been a good idea for 3 games now, but it's not going to happen so it's time to put it to bed.

I think it's important that all these issues are figured out about a month in advance. With the new site, "clean slate" policy, and a new outlook by a lot of community leaders, I don't get why people have such a problem with looking into ways to improve from the old VHL model. Like it or not, the VHL had flaws and now that we're on a site with far more advanced technology, we can stop crying about how bad Techno is for the league and work on the rather small infrastructure issues that still may exist. You're clearly pissed about AGM's being removed, but for the sake of the league please don't let that cloud your judgement on other issues. That's not just directed at you, but at everyone.

 

Guy could get screwed if he has to ecu for NHL, won't work. Especially if we have staggered game times for different levels.

 

Im actually just being a pain cuz i really didnt care about them removing AGM, just felt like stirring the pot. I voted to change to club lol. I liked both league and def see a few things that could be changed. Just felt like being a bitch.

 

Too much micromanaging and hassle.

Let's start by having everyone show up on time, rather than 10-14 minutes after game time.

 

At first it sounded like a good idea, then I realized how big a pain it would be.

The best solution would be EA allowing us to be on 2+ clubs at once, and/or just upgrade their junky servers. Obviously neither of those are happening any time soon.

 

Been in the moose since day 1 and the last time we did series through club was when the cooldown period didn't exist. Other than that all games are played in lounges.

 

Won't work for ECUs.

No question, this is how it goes.

 

I say club should be the 1st option, if their are issues such as time penalty, ecu, ect. Then use the lounges. I'm from the west and 99% of the games I play in are hosted by East players. Not only is the connection already shitty in lounges I have tonplay off a sever that is across the continent making it that much worse. Connection is always great in club no matter where who hosts (Decent Connections), yet every lobby game I play there is at least 3-4 times where it feels like I'm watching a slide show about NHL 14 rather than playing!

 

You signed up for owner under an assumption the rules would be w/e each of you thought. With no published rule book or structure you really signed up fr a shot in the dark.

as people already said it wouldn't work because of ecus and people not wanting to leave their clubs. this decision has nothing to do about not wanting to change, because i think we all can agree club servers are better then lobby, but we all are realistic in thinking there will be too many problems to get this implemented. the only way this would have a chance of working is if there was no cooldown period and the league decided to say fuck you to the guys who don't want to leave their club for whatever reason. (which i'm not opposed to)
