I’ve noticed quite a few amount of players in the Community has an elite controller of some sort. Some think they have the best set up for the game the others have no clue. For me I don’t use the paddles in nhl but on my sticks I use instant for goalie and aggressive for skater what settings do you guys use?
I currently use this setup: Left paddle = hustle Right paddle = change camera focus from you/puck (select button) Hustle on the paddle saves your left thumbstick from breaking from mashing it in. Also feel like you have more control over your guy when you aren't needing to apply pressure to the thumbstick. I use the same paddle for sprint in shooter games for the same reasons. Change camera thing is more for defense but it has its uses as a forward too. Stick lift on a paddle is something I've wanted to try but I don't like using 3 paddles and feel like hustle/camera are crutches for me at this point.
I know we were just talking about this but the few games I tried using instant had its pros and cons. Might just be that it needs some getting used to, but sometimes felt it applied too much direction when all I wanted was a slight movement. Maybe after a few days of using it'll get better though. Also curious if anyone changed the stick curve adjustment setting (radial, axis-independent, or true diagonals). Only did a slight bit of research but seems to me that those are more for the FPS die hard, and wouldn't give much advantage to messing around with.
My settings: Left paddle = left stick click Right paddle = A Right paddle was useful until EA patched LT + A Hair triggers don’t work (makes passing suck) I don't use any stick adjustments as I heard it doesn't do anything I wouldn’t recommend buying an elite controller for NHL after the recent patch
Lower right- A Lower left- left stick click I turned the LT deadzones down to i think 35 Left and right stick both are on smooth with low sensitivity curves
Somebody correct me if im wrong, but elites aren't allowed at LAN's. So if you ever get to one, have fun readjusting
Pretty sure you're wrong. It's an officially licenced MS product. Scufs are allowed at lans too. Unless the NHL community has a ban for some reason.
All depends on the promoter I guess. At the calgary flames vs. lan last year you werent allowed to use or bring your own controller.
