Enforstacho's season 8 recap

Hello everyone, i decided to do a lil writeup today. I will be going team by team, pointing out how they did, who was their biggest surprise and who was the guy that disappointed the most. Here we go.

TL;DR: Just read your team and hope you're not the Underachiever.

ANAHEIM DUCKS (51-26-5)

The ducks finished 2nd in the pacific. It looks like the management tandem of Ray and Carm paid off, getting them a solid team all-around and clinching a playoff spot.

Overachiever: @HitByTheBest95; The 2M RD had a great season on the back end, getting 19 wins with 26 pts and a +25.

Underachiever: @kg3inOTT; He didn't have an horrible season, but when you get paid 4M, you are expected to do better than -17 .


ARIZONA COYOTES (31-41-10)

JF5. He can't win for 3 lines.

Overachiever: @Some fat gezer; he did great for a 500k winger. 14-8-2, 54pts and +15

Underachiever: @x Chyzz; his season was written off to be a disaster, and it was. He couldn't land on a good team.


BOSTON BRUINS (51-26-5)

Nosleeves managed to build a winning team without raising too much doubt in the community with his media involvement. Or did he? #SleevesLuminati

Overachiever: @nickyP1999; I was surprised by this GM choice, but he proved me wrong, once again. Go NickyPing!

Underachiever: Nobody


BUFFALO SABRES (42-24-16)

Desjy graced the city of Buffalo with his return to ownership. It turned out well, with his team getting 100pts.

Overachiever: @Key_Tops; in his first season in the NHL, he posted a 80.8 SV% along with a 2,27GAA.

Underachiever: @iFishyHD; even if you're 750k, you need to get more than 4 wins and -22 on a decent team like this.


CALGARY FLAMES (45-32-5)

Polska was able to build a good enough team to get the #2 wild card spot, even though his GM quit on him 2 weeks in. #S7CGYwasBetter

Overachiever: @Cage; #SelkeCage won't win the selke but he had 69pts and that is notable.

Underachiever: @ryanwashere78; this guy wasn't on the team for a long time but he still had the worst season out of everyone on that roster.


CAROLINA HURRICANES (56-17-9)

I clearly did not expect such a good season from these guys. As the great god almighty Jclaus33 said :"This team's average age is 13".

Overachiever: Everyone

Underachiever: Nobody


CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS (18-53-11)

They should really take Parayko off ownership. Terrible season for the 2nd time straight.

Overachiever: Nobody

Underachiever: Everyone


COLORADO AVALANCHE (54-24-4)

They did like they were expected to do. They killed everyone. But they lacked consistency mid-season and it cost them a couple points to fall out of the President's race.

Overachiever: @x Braydenn; Yes, this guy is amazing. but 70pts on D? Holy shit.

Underachiever: Nobody


COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS (38-37-7)

Looks like luck is still running from this team. Nick built a solid squad but missed the playoffs for a 2nd straight season.

Overachiever: @GallyDomi__; just a God. 83 pts on an average team like that.

Underachiever: @CL95K ; 40 pts is not enough for a guy of his caliber.


DALLAS STARS (39-32-11)

The stars had another disappointing season. Let's hope they get better in the following season(s).

Overachiever: @prodigytolegend; He did great on his rookie year, getting a 14-6-3 record.

Underachiever: @WillRolltide; 5M. 9-11 record (i smell conspiracy)


DETROIT RED WINGS (35-41-6)

The season on detroit didn't start well when they had to ban their 1st line C. It never got better.

Overachiever: @JamesCoyle; getting 52 pts as a rookie on a dead team like the wings is really good.

Underachiever: @Reincremation; He had only 8 wins and was a -29 on the season.


EDMONTON OILERS (57-23-2)

Gonzo managed to shut everyone up by having a great team. But he didn't manage to shut up about his team.

Overachiever: @three_eleven07; He had an amazing season on a line with Stamkos and Palmer. 79pts for him, good for 1st on his team.

Underachiever: Nobody


FLORIDA PANTHERS (56-22-4)

Sean proved that he is a better owner than he is a GM, clinching the Atlantic division.

Overachiever: @I2I-Way-Hockey 87pts and +40 is impressive, even if you chose who you play with.

Underachiever: No one


LOS ANGELES KINGS (46-30-6)

GOATstav was a good choice for owner. He managed to keep his team competitive all season and make the playoffs.

Overachiever: @I9I_Bento_I3I who here knew he was gonna have such a good rookie season?

Underachiever: Nobody in the minus, nobody well under .500.


MINNESOTA WILD (47-31-4)

Goalie owner, Vish as GM. Everything was set for a failure, but they managed to surprise many and get the 2nd seed in the Central.

Overachiever: @foxpresentation; He managed to get 26 wins and +21 in his first season in the NHL.

Underachiever: Nobody


MONTREAL CANADIENS (41-34-7)

Silky's first season as owner came to a cruel end with a playoff disqualification on the 82nd game of the season.

Overachiever: Nobody stood out.

Underachiever: @WolfxI29I; Silky please give this guy a break. If i were him i'd be sick of having to deal with you.


NASHVILLE PREDATORS (41-32-9)

Despite having one of the worst NHL player as their owner, the Preds did good, yet again.

Overachiever: @F0G 19; 1st overall pick comes with 1st overall responsibilities, which he fulfilled.

Underachiever: @Zubov_x_21; at least this guy knows how to build a team. Cause Jesus fucking Christ does he not know how to get wins. also he's -67.


NEW JERSEY DEVILS (43-32-7)

Gour proved that he wasn't dependant on Jay Felic to make the playoffs.

Overachiever: @lx JoneZ xl who knew this guy was supposed to be the one getting the most wins?

Underachiever: @Back342 he couldn't get as many wins as he should have and doesn't have great stats either.


NEW YORK ISLANDERS (29-46-7)

Overachiever: Nobody

Underachiever: Everyone


NEW YORK RANGERS (55-15-12)

The Frenchgers clinched the President's trophy and have, in my opinion, the most complete team all-around. The will be tough to stop.

Overachiever: @miviens; playing with Reap and Weapon did him good. He didn't get a single regulation loss in the entire season.

Underachiever: Nobody


OTTAWA SENATORS (37-37-8)

#TheseSens getting #TheseLosses in the 2nd half of the season really crippled their chance at a cup run.

Overachiever: @leafs1791; He had an amazing season despite playing behind a couple brain dead dmen.

Underachiever: @JCoul; Paying 8M for a guy that actually gets points is too mainstream.


PHILADELPHIA FLYERS (23-51-8)

This is what happen when you pick Jumps as GM.

Overachiever: Nobody

Underachiever: Everyone


PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (18-59-5)

I'm not sure a poo emoji would be good enough to describe their season.

Overachiever: No one

Underachiever: Everyone


SAN JOSE SHARKS (51-30-1)

With Ry as GM, the sharks managed to get 51 wins and that is good for the 3rd place in Pacific.

Overachiever: @kered93; 500k for a 73pts guy is a fucking steal.

Underachiever: Nobody


ST-LOUIS BLUES (31-43-8)

A sad season in Missouri. Seems like they haven't been able to finish.

Overachiever: @Ducksfanwaterloo; ok... 58 goals.. respect my sir.

Underachiever: @I-joker_x_31-l; 33pts in 22 games is just not enough from a guy like him.


TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING (35-40-7)

Of course, Shot played himself in 29 games. Maybe he should have traded for better defense, because they had one of the worst GA total.

Overachiever: @isles2791; i don't think anyone expected him to put up 73pts.

Underachiever: @xTiDanKilleR--55; we are used to much better performances from this guy than 45pts and -12.


TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS (42-30-10)

The Maple Leafs had a solid season, just like we are used to with AAli's teams.

Overachiever: @Diamonddangles4-; how the fuck did this guy only go for 750k

Underachiever: @ICExCREAMxTRUCK; Paying 5M for a -21 dman makes me sad.


VANCOUVER CANUCKS (26-47-9)

King_RIPpin did exactly how we thought he'd do. Terrible. Beefy couldn't save them.

Overachiever: No one

Underachiever: Everyone


VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS (44-31-7)

As i imagined, i have had a couple VGK players telling me that their GM didn't put enough energy in managing the team. Maybe just that could have been the difference that would have given them a playoff spot.

Overachiever: No one; now, not that this team did bad, it's just that nobody stood out for them this season.

Underachiever: @jay6219; Jay gets his worst season in a while, getting only 12 wins/26, 42 pts and -4.


WASHINGTON CAPITALS (52-22-8)

PTP's graced us with his glorious comeback on the PSN side and did great, yet again.

Overachiever: @gocanucks01; 60pts and +31 for a 500k player is really impressive.

Underachiever: No one; hard to pick anyone here because every underachiever has been traded throughout the season.


WINNIPEG JETS (37-40-8)

Jmm's first stint in the big league didn't turn out how he would have wanted it to go. Still much better than what the previous owner did.

Overachiever: @One_Nut_Phil81; The man, the myth, the legend. He might only have one nut but he sure can score. I'm gonna be surprised if he doesn't win the Calder, or at least if he's not nominated.

Underachiever: @x Loops 19 x; as a GM, you need to get wins and help the team on the ice... which i think he forgot to do this season, posting a 7-16-2 record with -33.

It does when you play with braindead defenseman like he did (towards start of ssn, I actually like the four the Blues finished with)

Please don’t act like Eastons doesn’t do this with JPLY. 90% of the goals are breaks and fast one timers.

It’s not hard to scrub hunt run sniper build and cherry pick all game. Maybe if ducks passed the puck and potted more than 21 assists blues wouldn’t be in the basement.
