Future of EASHL

Here we are,

It is time to start a thread where we can finally have some idea's come together, be discussed, critiqued, reviewed, constructively criticize and completely criticize a few.

I have started a Google doc to present some of the Idea's that have not only come from me but from this community. I would like anyone who wishes to share some thoughts or ideas to go at it. This is our chance to organize our ideas and bring it to the table in the form of documentation so we can hit the ground running.

As EA has stated, the main focus for this meeting will be on the EASHL, thus all of the idea's included in this document will only pertain to improving the EASHL. I could in the future include a section that has gameplay improvements but the focus of this is Strictly EASHL.

While most of the idea's listed here may be overly ambitious and some outright too difficult, we can always pick apart what we like and what we don't to try and form something we can all enjoy.

If elected as an NHL Committee Member, I promise that this is the type of commitment you can expect from me. All voices will be heard and all ideas will be looked at.

Please post whatever thoughts or ideas you have, what you liked or disliked. This is for an open discussion and I welcome everyone's opinions. Anything that sounds like a good idea will be added to the document so it can be further discussed upon or improved.

I'm not sure it's about needing. It's more about having hockey fun again back in the 09 days when shit was new. Not having to Pay to play 6's to have the most fun out of a game.

 

I just skimmed it but i didnt notice anything about fucking game play!!! Just give me a fucking game that is fun and where the better player wins 10/10 times not a fucking coin flip of missed nets, desperation saves, momentum and the other fucking bullshit ea has done over the years to cater to the nubs.

Its not that fucking hard people

lol i wanted to let him play with his friends, he sort of stopped showing for games bc his controller broke. I didnt want to trade him and I dont think he was dicking me or tampering bc I told him I would trade him to play with you guys no problem, it was just kind of beat how it went down bc I didnt get to really play him for the last 2 weeks he was on my team but this is a discussion not for this thread.

I will write something up @Tonyferelli and post it sometime tomorrow. You may need to make a new thread though bc this already looks like the ones on EA Sports forums where people post something and then there are just a ton of random comments or people saying quotes and no one really providing anything constructive which eventually leads to people repeating the same things over and over because no one bothers to read anything once it gets too long.

Im all about this but when in real life does the better team win every time. They are trying to be a simulation hockey game. Sometimes in real life the better team that night doesnt even win the game. However, if your team is good in the long run your record will pan out being a top team. Everyone gets screwed every once in awhile but all the top EASHL teams have been the same top teams or (players) for awhile.

 

Not sure if people ever watched a hockey game before but the best team doesnt win 10/10 times.

 

- Better custom jerseys, arenas, etc.

- Custom Goalie helmets

- Practice mode that isn't broken

- More rewards for playing with more players, 6v6 100exp, 5v5 85exp 4v4 75exp 3v3 50exp, 2v2 25exp. Something along those lines that goes along with your mentioned experience system.

I like the contract idea, and hopefully you were planning on giving more than 5 game options to increase incentives for players to stay with one club

 

fix practice mode so people from west coast can play with people from east coast

 

Forgot to expand on it.. it was supposed to be 5, 10, 20 game contracts. I just wanted to get what I had for my document out as soon as possible.

Oh.. that reward system for more players was going to be for Club Ranking. I am currently working on that part for the potential tournament part of the document. But I could see you gaining more exp by playing with more players as well.

 

Gameplay improvements I would mention is introducing a defensive skill stick and fixing things that might need tweaking. But like I said, it's something that would be on the back burner for now.
