I just wanted to let some of the new people know how certain privileges work. Currently in order to have PM rights you will need to have at least 10 posts or have been a member for at least 30 days. Tris has currently given a a "3 PM pass" meaning, you get to send or receive 3 PMs once you sign up. These settings are to prevent spam bots and also promote site activity.
It actually sounds like a good idea. Minimum posting to have pm's. Makes sure the community is active and reading posts. Thanks for the info Ozzy!
Actually we have updated our new user registration policy to be a lot more forgiving. Now once you register you will have your regular 50 private message throttle. The reason for this is we've put a custom hook in the registration to force the user for their XBL gamer tag, but verify its a valid account from Microsoft, Thus almost eliminating all spam bots!
Is that site completely gone now? I tried to visit it the other day, But it also died from lack of activity as well as spam bots invasion. Its too bad, as that site launched us back in 2003.
