    Pre Match:

    • All matches must be arranged via private messaging on the LG website.
    • IMPORTANT: Due to a update bug in Top Spin 4 all players must enter their matches pre-patched. You can read more about this subject and how to do this in the appropriate forum topic. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
    • All matches will follow the guidelines of their specific tournaments with regards to court played on and how many sets per match.
    • While our deadlines will be lenient due to conflicting time zones, if it is found that any one player is not making an effort to schedule that player will automatically forfeit the match.
    • Be sure to be aware of the rules of the particular format you are participating in. These rules can be found throughout the appropriate forum.
    • Respect the rules. Respect your opponents and above all HAVE FUN!

    Match Rules:

    • All players must move all the way to the center prior to serving in the beginning of the match. Moving out toward the tramlines is strictly forbidden.
    • Button serves are not allowed. This is mostly due to the update bug in the game but it also prevents tap serves.
    • There are no particular shots that are banned, however all players are to keep an honor system in mind and play one another respectfully.
    • Shots such as constant lobs, drop shots, or using lobs in mid rallies to freeze your opponent will be viewed as dishonest by the staff and community.
    • Do not attempt to contact your opponent mid-match unless it is an absolute emergency. In most cases a player stopping a match will automatically result in a forfeit by that player.

    Post Match:

    • Attempt to always communicate in a civil and sportsmanlike fashion. We understand that emotions run high within competition but at the end of the day it is just a game.
    • Report your match results directly to LG on the forum home page. Feel free to discuss the match as well and let us know what your positive and negative experiences were. If you are dissatisfied with your match or the tact of your opponent we ask that you refrain from posting about it on the forum, and rather report it to the staff via Private Message.
