Handshake to the Monsters // To My Calder Champions

Now, for my first less cancerous handshake i’d like to congratulate the Cleveland Monsters on making it to the Calder Cup Finals, and taking first place in the West. Honestly through, this was hella underwhelming for a calder finals series. You guys deserved to make it here though, being a lower seed team and fighting through some of the higher seeds.

Even with all that, clear respect to the Monsters for making it this far and taking out the teams we personally thought we’d be playing.

BUT.... HERE WE ARE BOYS. This ones to my calder champs who made this season great. 16-1 in playoffs, with our ONLY LOSS coming in the first series, game 3 to the Phantoms.

@BlakeDangles Random assigned to Hartford after going for 2.75M in CHL bidding, noticed your skill early, also saw you reppin the boys in the SB while on tc.. and while improving turned out to be extremely key for us.

@davyl4 Being our highest paid forward specifically to play on the same line as CJ and I was a great decision. Did your job, while putting up good numbers throughout the season.

@Gwanzie Cheap, 500k bid, that got traded away to Ontario, then sent back as compensation. Thankfully we managed to get you back, as you played well down the stretch.

@CJ x 58 Well, yeah, only the guy I play with all the time. We got on the same line for a season and didn’t disappoint as we both put up 100+ pts and got 22 wins, plus went undefeated in ploffs at 4-0.

@xOgLowkeyyx Dropped 102 pts in the regular season, and went 18-0 since the last OTL to the Wolves. Being able to beat everyone down the stretch was key for us, and having you on a 500k conty too? Bruh.

@Matty_A_31 As much as you like defence better, you’re a fuckin good C. Oh yeah, randomly assigned and on that 500k conty was blessed.

@I-MT98-I We made the best RW duo in the AHL, having you free was hugee. Dropping mad pts in ploffs, and 89 while missing the last week of the regular season was impressive.

@Nick Saville Garbage man, doing his work in game 4 coming clutch after the lag out... great job filling the RW spot on that line after we traded Bon.

@charmingdonut Originally slated to be the GM of the Wolfpack going into s8 until a surprise spot on NML. Still got you through NHL bidding pretty cheap, and had a great season behind all that.

@dmac7719 Went into AHL bidding just to play with us, and at 4.5M (our highest contract) proved what you’re worth, and how good you are.

@iTz_Cattywampus late pickup, after a series of bans. Played well with the wolfpack and what we needed from the LD on that pair. Good shit.

@Big_Gren Before the season, dumais told me you wanted to be on a good AHL team. I knew how good you were, and clearly with the numbers you put up you were worth it.

@Gamingfreak911 From what I hear, the scouting game before the season locked yourself a spot on the team. Dealing with quite a bit of d partners til we finally got you one for the rest of the season was tough, but you fought through and became a top dman in the ahl by far.

@l0wkey93- Played the majority of games with you on my side and that was really nice. I trusted you to get a good shot off or throw it back down low and you did that. Lots of potential, keep playing EASHL pal.

@mikemoran19 You had the chance to go to a shitty NHL team or be sent down and you knew what was best, unfair having a goalie like you in the AHL but very thankful it happened.

@quick_scope_14 Lights out in playoffs, put up Vezina (or whatever the award is called in the AHL) type numbers in the regular season. Getting you cheap was a huge addiction for us as you came big for us when we needed.

With a Memorial Cup in s6, and now a Calder in s8, signing off NHL 18 with 2 cups. Til next season, Thoma signing off on yet another great season.

We did it, I finally won something on LG besides a friday night puck, id like to thank @JClaus33 for the inspiration to switch to center and showing me anyone can do it. Id like to thank all the boys on this amazing team and we really couldn't of done it without beast mode pestilence and 420 being high as a fucking kite slamming his pass button every time he filled in. Thoma, CJ, MT and possible OG if he plays going to be really solid pickups for the nhl next season. Dmac, Gren, Lowkey, Gaming, Donut and Pest, yes fucking Pest proving they can play great around solid players under pressure. Its been a fun season and now im going to go cry that i can't play with @BlakeDangles anymore.
