    Okay, so I've read a lot of these statements and opinions, now I want to give up my two cents. I played against playmaker while on Ottawa and we beat him. I don't recall how many points he had, but we beat him because of our game plan (everyone attack playmaker) and his line mates kept feeding him the puck in bad situations. I'm sure a lot of the teams out there ran a similar strategy and this dude put up sick points and a great record. Fuck the award going to a player on a playoff team, the guy deserves it.

    Fail to see your logic behind your comments.

    1) it should always go to a skater has a goalie ever won the hart?

    2) maybe I missed it but where was a forward ego missed half the season nominated?

    3) Brisan was predicted by many to not hsve a great season. GB was their best player all season long imo. He help them get to the playoffs which is a greater accomplishment than player maker for example which was my comparison in the first place.

    you can only control what you can do. If you could have been more successful against contenders perhaps BOS would have been betters off.

    That doesnt take away from what you did this season at all. Like I stated all along I believe the hart winner needs to be on a successful team. Thsts simply my opinion in which we don't hsve to agree

    For the record you should win the Ted Lindsay(most outstanding player voted on by the players). To perform how you did with your surround case is impressive

    Again, ignorant. I don't see how me winning 7 more games affects Bostons playoff contention. Like I said, I go undefeated this season and we still dont make it, its not like we just take 14 points from any team and add it to ours and presto we're playoffs. We would have needed 30 more points to make the playoffs, maybe less if I beat these playoff teams you're referring to, something that my other lines didn't accomplish. In actual hockey, Hart definitely goes to a winning team and I can understand why the decision was made and respect it for LG, but the justification of this being a sim league when its a whole another thing just makes me sad. Dont give me justifications that dont make sense, say it was a decision made by the governing powers that it belongs to a playoffs team and respect that I propose a valid counterargument rather than saying "well you shoulda done more and gone undefeated and played on 2nd tags so you can play more than 1/3 of your team's games"

    Maybe not in an online league, but Hasek won 2 or 3 as a member of the Sabres in the late 90s. Too lazy to look it up though.

    FWIW, at least 2 goalies have won the Hart before. Jose Theodore on a terrible Habs team that he single handedly brought to the playoffs. And Hasek won it twice.

    Just went through the whole list, goalies have won the Hart 7 times. Definitely not a popular choice but goalies shouldn't be automatically out of contention.
