Okay boys, for my marketing class we had to choose something to “sell” people on. Being the loser I am, I naturally took the easy way out and chose chel and more specifically competitive chel.

I now have a 6 week twitter I have to run and tweet on 3 times a day omegalul.

Post below what makes a player/team great. And what average/below average guys need to do better in order to be better at the game.

    Ex: Shoot more turds ;)

Fr tho, no troll posts please. This is a serious question

All like to play a similar play style (Chemistry)

How to get better at the game: Grind the game and see what works for you (I'm still shit so take this advice with a precaution)

Big thing that seperates a lot of players in every type of game is how you practice. Much better to get quality practice in rather than just playing for hours without actively trying to get better. Also attitude is a huge deal. Don't be the guy that sighs when your teammate makes a bad play or freaks out after a loss. Communication is a big part of team games.

Average/below average guys need to focus on playing well defensively. Almost any team with 5 skaters who focus on their defensive positioning and actions have a shot at beating good clubs.

Forwards, a lot of these fringe guys have zero identity when they play the game. One game they're very pass heavy looking to make the perfect play, next game they're turding, so on and so forth. Have a play style, embrace it and improve. It's so much easier to build a line with guys who know who they are and what they need then make slight adjustments from there. It's so much easier to make quick reads off one another if you understand what your linemate wants to do.

If you play defense get the basics and improve from there that's how guys like @trevwings and @PeteyMaCx11 have grown. Contest the blue line (dont have to clamp everybody) dont give up oddman rushes or breakaways. Both these guys dont have elite thumbs but theyre good defensively and improved their offensive game from there.

    Goalies arent people.

    You're Welcome.

Be smart and trust ur teammates. You cant 1 man show in NHL. Move the puck quickly and learn what you can and cant do. On offense you arent going to skate through 4 people but if there are 4 people around you somebody is open. Get it to that person. On defense learn how to play responsible and trust ur teammates again. Cover the lanes and read what your teammates are doing so you can cover them and play a structured game.

Think ahead. Too many lower level players don't think about what they are going to do until they get the puck. The better players will have an idea (or multiple ideas) about what they want to do with the puck before they even get it.

Also, defensively, keep it simple. Don't go for big hits, don't poke like crazy, don't stick lift a lot... just play position and when the opportunity comes you can hit/poke/stick lift.

If anyone lays a finger on one of your teammates you fight them. If anyone challenges you then you have to fight then. If anyone hits you then you fight them. If anyone scores on you then you fight them. The other teams player is injured and down on the ground then you fight them. Summary: it’s never the wrong time to fight somebody

Treat all of your teammates like your cat. Kiss them on the lips when they’re struggling.

    1. Be attentive to your partners' needs.
    2. Communicate with your companions and have an open relationship with them.
    3. Comfort and support each other in times of need.
