I'm a fan of the Chicago Bears. I buy football games so that I can play as the team I root for, and to play againt teams like Green Bay, Minnesota, and Detroit. I don't think I'm being short sighted at all. APF 2K8 might have great gameplay, but for me I want realism. I am only interested in playing with teams I follow. I'm a fan of football, yes, but I'm a bigger fan of the NFL.

Well it that's more important to you than gameplay, you preference certainly makes sense. Luckily, Madden's a pretty good gave overall and should be even better in '08. I other the other hand am a big fan of football period when it comes to video games and will go with the one with the best gameplay. Honestly, I think it will be Madden this year but like I said, I'll give APF 2k8 a good look.

one thing i always hated about 2k and Madden was that they had to be different on the controller buttons.. To me it would be easier to change back and forth between games if that wasnt the case.. But because.. Left Trigger was teh left receiver on 2k and X was the receiver on madden.. It just complicated everything.. This being another reason why i probablywont even give this game a look .. I'll be playing NCAA and Madden which have the same control schemes and switchign to something else only takes away from the NCAA and Madden..

I gotta be honest. I remember hating on Madden when EA got the rights to the game. There are still some minor issues with it, but I'd take Madden any day over another crappy 2K title.

I have been burned too many times by 2K / Kush / VC / whatever they are called , if it wasn't for my wife 'surprising' me with NHL 2K7 I never would have bought it for myself. I am done with 2k. Offline the games are ok , but online is where the real suck shines through... it's great that they have online leagues that are free and all , but what is the point if they only work half the time ( if you are lucky ) and can't do any tweaking from 2ksports website or it will mess / reset league settings....

2k8 Only, I have had my fill of Madden. They would have to come out with an awesome game for me to buy Madden again.

I am all madden. Never got into the 2k style of gameplay. I think overall madden is a solid game, but being the only football game out there it gets picked on to death. Last year was missing some features, but most of the gameplay was solid and a fun game. I think owning 2 different games like that would mess up my ability on each. The switch from NCAA to madden can be bad enough sometimes as it is.

This is a no-brainer for me, Madden all the way! 2K is ok and the did put out a solid football game before, but I always liked Madden more. Hopefully they make some serious adjustments for this Madden cause for 07 being my 1st Madden for the 360, I was really disappointed with it.

Ill definitely get Madden and ill probably get the 2k game also unless the reviews are really bad. But its tough to be in both leagues like nosice said, the controls are always different and jumping back and forth really screws you up.

By the way, APF 2k8 now has a release date at EBgames of 7/16... a day before NCAA '08. I like this b/c it will allow those of us giving it a shot a full month to play it before Madden comes out, giving us plenty of time to form a very good opinion of it by then.

I suspected they would move up the date like they did with 2k5. I'm guessing all that's left for them to do now is lower the price.

I'm going w/ AP2K8. 2k sports beats EA in football and basketball as well.

I dont love 2k or any company over another. 2k for the last 5 years has made a better nhl game so i play that. Also 2k isn't as damn greedy as EA is, At least they are adding new features to their titles like online leagues to sell more copy's and not as a new service to bleed you. They are also more litely to price drop their titles where EA will never do that. The only reason i started playing nhl 2k was because they were online first and EA was fighting with xbox so they could take more money out of your pockets. They finally folded and joined xbl. Heck i started with EA nhl games. I know you guys like to think i am a 2k guy but whatever to each their own

I'll give you basketball, College Hoops was far better than March madness, and Live flat out sucks. But how can anyone blindly say AP2k8 when they've never played a 2k title on the 360 because it hasn't existed, it doesn't have an NFL license and previews show its lacking in graphics and features. Maybe we'll be proven wrong when it comes out next month, but Madden is looking far superior.
