If you average 1000 games a year x 30 minutes = 500 hours x 8 years = 4000 hours
divided by 24 hours in a day = 166.66 days of non stop NHL

That's a good point. To add on to your calculations, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but at roughly 30 minutes per game if you average 1,000 games per year for 8 years then there's a 94.3% chance you're still a virgin.

 

You forgot to add in the time waiting in lobbies...
