Another season of LGBA (or more recently the “How easy can we make this for Snype” challenge) is underway and the first week is in the books and had plenty of competitive games and interesting outcomes. There are a lot of good lineups in the league this season. Let’s take a look at how the teams are doing so far.

    1. Boston Celtics 6-0
Snype goes into bidding already having Rickoshay as his GM and gets Venom on a 5.5M contract. Does the record shock anyone? Rickoshay did struggle this week, compared to what’s expected of him now and that’s due to him not playing the game much at all recently. But not even that could stop this team with Snype showing he’s more than able to carry Rick when he’s bricking and getting boxed like a fish. Expect this team to be the juggernaut throughout the season with maybe getting a few upset losses here and there but nothing major. They are the best team in the league on paper and in the standings for a reason.

Fun Fact: Venom is averaging 42 points per game.

    2. Brooklyn Nets 5-1
Jiggy and xTeei proved that they managed to put together a pretty solid squad in bidding after the first week of games are in the books. Notable wins this week coming against a few of the leagues best like BWitt, Handoutz and D Ando shows this team can compete with most of the top talent the league has to offer. The only loss which was in blowout fashion to the Celtics shows there’s a pretty decent gap between 1-2 but even with that it was a great start to the season for the Nets.

Fun Fact: JJ Abes is a DJ in the Xbox Live party during games.

    3. Phoenix Suns 4-2
With Witt and Tom being the management duo for this team they were expected to be one of the better teams in the league and they did not disappoint in the first week of the season. They did have some close games against the Nuggets and the Cavaliers which may lead them to trying to improve the squad somehow. Expect the Suns to be towards the top of the standings throughout the season and being a contender come playoffs.

Fun Fact: BigJay had a huge game as an ECU and dropped 23 points going 5/6 from 3.

    4. Portland Trail Blazers 4-2
Most people are likely surprised to see Portland be this high up in the standings. They put the league on notice in week 1 showing that they can compete with anyone. They have a solid veteran management duo in Swaggy and Berry and proved they put together a formidable squad in bidding. Swaggy and Berrys line had a notable win against one of the leagues best PGs in Rainy. KennyPee is one of the more skilled players in this league and showed it, along with Bands and his boys showing they’re here to ball out this season. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep good weeks like this going but they’re off to a great start.

Fun Fact: KennyPee leads the league in blocks per game at 3.3.

    5. Memphis Grizzlies 3-3
This is another team with a good management duo in Frenchy and Rainy. They also managed to put together a solid squad in bidding and look to be a contender throughout the season. They came out of the gates with a decent .500 record but I’m sure these guys expect to do better than that and will do what they can to try and improve on that record. Frenchy and Rainy are both currently top 10 scorers in the league and will keep this team in the mix throughout the season.

Fun Fact: Frenchy iPM didn’t get his boy TalTheMarvelous in bidding!

    6. Atlanta Hawks 2-3 (Cavs game?)
Another veteran management duo here with Kryss and STG Beast running the Hawks. Neither of these two being top PGs in the league put an extra emphasis on them needing to have a good bidding to put together a solid team and they managed to do a commendable job by picking up Splikak, SubForce, Sniper, Juice and a good shooter in Hotpants. That Cavs game likely being a win this team had a solid week 1 and will look to build on that next week.

Fun Fact: LD Splikak is averaging 21-8-8 to start the season.

    7. Chicago Bulls 2-4
Munnie and Iso are some league veterans at this point and decided to take a team for the first time and got off to a rocky week one. They played a few good lineups which resulted in some tough losses along with a forfeit loss. This is a talented team that will contend for a playoff spot throughout the season.

Fun Fact: Munnie is averaging 23 points per game and he made his MyPlayer look like Michael Jordan

    8. Los Angeles Lakers 2-4
jdiz and Hurlito took a team for the first time together and managed to have a good bidding and put together a squad that will compete for playoffs. This is another team that ran into a few good lineups and will look to improve in the coming weeks and they have the pieces that could easily bounce back in week 2. With Handoutz and SlimeWorld as their PGs there won’t be many easy games against this team.

Fun Fact: jdiz leads the league in rebounds per game and also recorded a triple double getting 14-15-10 against the Nuggets.

    9. Cleveland Cavaliers 0-4 (likely 0-6 with forfeits?)
Doolittle and Elite TKO are newer to the league and had a rude awakening in the 4 games they played to start the season. Their roster is full of new guys in the league and hopefully they’ll figure some things out and try to reduce forfeits and get through the season. The moneyball strategy doesn’t seem to be going too well for this squad.

Fun Fact: This team doesn’t have a contract higher than 750K on their roster

    10. Denver Nuggets 0-5 (Cavs game?)
Skizzo and Kobi decided to take a team last minute and had a very rough week to start the season. Their big money contracts in Raynor and Savage don’t play this game much at all and Raynor especially didn’t seem too interested in his games this last week. Hopefully this team can figure a few things out because there is some talent on this roster.

Fun Fact: oCURRY MVP leads the league in assists per game currently at 11.
