    Says a lot about the impact Recki had on this community when this many people are heartbroken over losing him. I never had the chance to interact with the man but he should be proud of the legacy he left, countless people will be thankful for the memories of him. RIP.

    One of the nicest people I've ever come across on this platform. Outstanding character and always a pleasure to be around. As some of you know, I haven't been very active in the NHL community for a number of years, but I first ran into recki a while ago and he always stood out to me as someone who just wanted everyone to have a laugh and enjoy themselves. This is a tough pill to swallow. You will be remembered. Rest in peace.

    I just learned about this through a Reddit post and had to come here. I'm not even sure what to say. Recki was always such a blast to not just play with, but to just hang in a party shooting the shit. I was so thrilled to have him back on my team last season, and he was one of the ones that made my decision to retire more difficult. This is such difficult news to process... Rest in peace man
