I don’t think you’ll find a single person on here with a bad word to say about Recki. Truly one of the nicest, most genuine people I had the pleasure of meeting through this site. Thanks for the laughs over the years, Rest In Peace my friend

Recki was a one of a kind person.. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him for years and I can tell you he could touch a person just from someone’s first meeting. It’s crazy how things can change so fast. Truly at a loss of words.. he was far to young and full of life to be gone this soon. But I can tell you this, he is flying with angels.. today we hold the ones closest to us and embrace as we remember a friend who shined brightness and may we honour him by continuing to bring kindness and always trying to make someone’s day better no matter the circumstances.

 

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Recki was loved and cared for by so many people throughout LG. They don't come any nicer than him.

Recki was one of a kind. Im very fortunate and blessed to be able to have been not only teammates, but linemates for a few LG seasons with him. Even through the worst stretch of games, hed always make you laugh and smile with his presence. I will always remember the S3 playoffs.. Game 4 he tucked the insurance goal and in the classic Recki way starts yellin “ya aint sweepin us boi”..we proceeded to reverse sweep our opponent, capped off by a legendary reaction on Eastons game winner..never been in a more hyped up party.

Ill always appreciate him hyping me up and for just being the best dude in LG. There will never be another like Recki. Whatever ya gotta do LG, give this man an award in his name, retire his number, anything..

I am fucking destroyed right now. Recki was one of the most genuine, enthusiastic, good people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. My sympathies go out to your family, and to this community of weird toxic NHLers who are all worse today because you're no longer with us.

It's sad to see one of the most genuine guys on the site gone. Its painful to see all of this happen. RIP recki look down on us all

 

I remember coming back to NHL in 2017 and being told of "Recki" who was the best party presence in the game. And they didn't lie, no one could make me or anyone else feel more into it then he did. One of the most genuine people Ive ever come across in life, let alone an online virtual setting.
Recki welcomed anyone, and I hope that part of his memory will continue on in this community.
