Keeping Track of Forfeits

Please post all FFs in this thread.

If a team has 5 or more forfeits over the course of the season they may be kicked out of the league and the members of the team could be banned from participating in Pro Series going forwards.

That could be a good idea, what happens if they have more forfeits and get kicked out. Will the rest of their games against remaining opponents be forfeits as well? How will if effect the standings with the organized scheduled games? Why not go in the other direction and just make it so there are no forfeits at all? Theres a number of options here

 

I don't see it happening, but there should be clarity on it. I'd suggest to make it fair they should be counted as wins for all and 1-0 wins so nobody gains a clear advantage due to goal differential.

May? It should be a yes or no. I can't trust someone with a bowl cut to make these types of decisions.

 

Just let them do whatever they want. If a team wants to pay 100 bucks to not play so be it.

i also find it hilarious that we have a paid tournament and scheduled games with the supposed goal of sparking more interest towards our game/community yet the organizer/founder of the tournament pushes for ffs so hard.

Its a weird plan of attack.

 

So a rule that was never mentioned before is now put in effect when my team is 1 away from the limit, one of the forfeits i notified the team 12 hours before game time and they refused to reschedule. And its game by game instead of series?

 

What happened to not makin changes during the season which you seemed to adamant about, im not one to stir the pot and argue about rules but this is my first time running a team or corunning a team and the late night schedule sometimes conflicts with people and ruins availability, in which case i contact the other team explaining the situation but sometimes they refuse to reschedule cuz "they have rescheduled to much they wanna play" then they take the ff

 

Sorry you feel that Im "encouraging" forfeits. I said what my team would do in a situation because someone asked me for my opinion, I was under the impression when I left that the games were going to be rescheduled. If I were "encouraging" forfeits my team would have taken some at this point in the season with multiple teams showing up late to games against us.

Florida's Finest is like that one friend who shows up to your poker tournament like 5 hands in so in a hurry you give them chips and deal them in. Then they are the first ones to bust out and quietly leave out the back door without ever having bought in. Only i guess in pro series they bought in so who really cares.

That's one of the worse analogy I have ever read.

 

Follow the rules as they are written, if that makes you sad, complain to the authorities that wrote them. If you want them to change, say Word when the rules discussion comes up

I can't play games starting at 2am my time which is what all of ours have been scheduled for, this scheduled games bs with the schedule favoring the virgins who stay up all night and sleep all day is a complete joke. Even if i can play a couple nights and be tired as fuck waking up at 8am in the morning i am still at maybe 40% going into games after a 16 hour day before hand. The point of this is to bring more people in and get this tournament recognized, i don't recall watching a Lol, Halo, Cs or any other tournament scheduled for 2 in the morning. I entered the tourney believing the schedule would be a nice thing so i can take time out of the DAY to get some games in but this is just a joke driving the casual players, younger players, and any players with a life at all away. Should just rename it Virgin Series honestly, i knew when i paid my 10$ there is only 2 teams actually capable of winning the tournament but at least i could enjoy playing the game competitively but instead i can't even play, what a joke.

Your team had every opportunity to submit availability that wasnt late at night, they submitted availability for late at night. Sounds like a team problem.

 

We asked to reschedule the big SATURDAY NIGHT biggies, and these DK s took 2 ffs, lol.
