Hello everyone, Now that we have the ESHL Leaderboard system public, we can now talk about qualifying for the first event of the kings coast cup! Today, there are 3 conditions that will make your team auto qualify for this event, Any one, and you qualify. They are: Your team made the playoffs in the Sharks Pacific Cup (32 teams) Your team made round 2 of the CapsGaming Playoffs (32 teams) Your team is a top 16 team in the ESHL Leaderboards If you do not meet these conditions, your team must qualify for the event. To clarify new teams, if you are a new team, you can only auto qualify based on the last condition. LG & our sponsor reserves the rights to grant teams a bid and qualify if we choose. How will qualifying work Once roster deadline passes on Thrs March 18th at 12:00pm eastern, we will be able to tell how many teams auto qualify for the event and we will also know how many spots are open to be won in qualifying. There will be 2 qualifying sessions. Both days will begin at 09:00 PM ET, and continue until there’s a winner. Thrs March 18th Fri March 19th Each night will be a bracket type tournament (like FNP) best of 1 series. The further you move up that night the higher your chances to qualify. Examples Lets assume there are 15 spots open and 30 teams fighting for it. We would take the top 10 teams from Thrs and qualify them. That means there are now 5 spots for 20 teams on Friday. Only teams who haven't qualified on Friday can play in Friday. The top 5 teams on friday would then be the last teams to qualify. We will base teams on these tie breakers The round they advance to GA GD ESHL Division Rank I've qualified for Event #1. How will groups and seeding work Once we have our 64 teams for the event, the teams will be placed into 8 "groups" of 8 teams. We will seed the top 24 teams based on the ESHL leaderboard across the 8 groups. So each group will have 1 team from division 1, one from division 2 and one from division 3. The final 50 teams will be randomly spread out between the 8 groups.
