League Reaction.

But I did play NHL15 and it wasn't that different to me. Sure there were more bodies awkwardly flying around because of the collisions but other than that it was pretty meh.

 

Against my better judgement I purchased the game. I did not do it to support EA, I did it to support LG and the fact that I enjoy this league. Hopefully we will have enough players for a productive Season 19, 5.

I for the most part agree with what pwnr is saying here, I'm just maybe less harsh and think my comment may have been misconstrued by ozzy and possibly other members.

I am not trying to bash any league staff, you guys don't get paid for this, you dedicate your time and maintain a high level of integrity when it comes to league function. We appreciate all you do for the community.

HOWEVER, in my ramblings, my main point is the decision to move forward was made without community input. My argument is that with only a split decision "unofficial" poll to base the opinion of the league off of (in which no knowledge of one product was known) how does the league justify their decision. Believe me, if a secondary poll went up 2 days after the early release and it was still split on which game to continue forward with, I would have no quarrels with the decision to move on with 15. I feel, as a member of this community, that my opinion was not deemed worthy enough of at least an official discussion. These threads and grumblings amongst the community are in no way a definitive representation of what the majority of the league feels is the correct path. I just think the league rushed a decision and are receiving earned(if not justified) backlash about it. Like I said, not trying to bash or pour it on you guys. I appreciate everything you do, but it's my opinion the ball was dropped on a major decision in which the entire league should have had a say in. As I said before goodluck with the upcoming seasons and hopefully I and those sitting out like me can make a triumphant return come 16 and enjoy this league once again.

 

My reply wasn't to his last post but so everyone understands, the decision did take in account the poll and opinions in that thread. If you read it actually lead Brodie and Tris more towards NHL15.

I've personally have seen many change their mind towards '15 and only the ones against it stay against it. Not sure where people are say it would have been a bigger separation in poll result if another one went up, if anything it seems it would have favored '15 more after people played it.

 

As Ozzy said, very few will stand true in their firm beliefs. Most will flock with what the masses do, where their friends go, or what the "next cool thing" is.

 

Bought game, like the minor changes, feels like a different game, glad we went to 15.

Would you guys rather spend 60-70 dollars on a game that LOOKS completely different or a game that PLAYS and FEELS a lot different? I'm confused by some of your reactions, most people are saying 15 is better it just has the same graphics and menus as 14, so what's the problem? 6v6 is way better right now and I know I'm not alone when I say I'll never play 14 again

 

How much are the +7 boosts again? It'll be another $20 at least I'm guessing. Never buying a 360 game again.

 

So I bought NHL15. There are differences. I can't speak more authoritatively until I rank up more, but it is nice that you can flatten your own teammates. Fuck EA, and shame on LG for not following through on the second poll, but it was worth the money to play with friends who had also moved to 15. All I can do now is lube up my anus and hope that EA isn't as lusty for loving in 16.

Replied to this about a week ago, just wondering now... (in all seriousness, not trying to be a dick), how's this move to NHL 15 working out for you guys? Sign ups going as expected? Anywhere near that '1600 minimum needed to run the three leagues'?

 

550 sign-ups in 6 days, 16 days left until bidding, averaging like 75ish players signed up a day.

The goal this season isn't to have a full 3 leagues season, prob won'T happen. The goal is to have 1-2 as successful season as possible due to Rammer being (not a surprise). staying on 14 would probably mean good sign ups for the 1st season, then evey1 leaving cause theyre tired of 14 mid season 1. Then no1 for season 2. This is what the league thought (I think) therefore they went with 15. Maybe 14 wouldn't have been as bad as anticipated, but who knows?

 

Looking at the signup numbers for this season isn't encouraging at the moment.... The other disappointing item is the servers for 15. I have done nothing but lag since release. I go to 14 no lag.... I'm supporting the league, but one of the biggest selling points from many was how much better the 15 servers would be. When is that going to happen?
