It sucks for me cause I'm not going to buy it, but it's absolutely the best decision for the league. Either decision was going to split the league in half for the most part, 15 allows you to at least try and supplement that loss by adding new members.

The vote was sort of a waste of time. It truly did not matter if the vote was 90% NHL 14 and 10% NHL 15. As long as one particular group of individuals were moving to NHL 15, that is where the league was going to head.

See you guys on NHL 16 (unless used $20 copies show up fairly quickly).

Just got an XBOX 360 4GB for 80 $ + NHL 15 that's 150 $
I will resell it 80 $ with the game in may cause I don't play LG in the summer
That's 70 $ to keep me entertained for those long cold Canadian winter nights
far from your 200 $

Quality>Quantity, if that 10% is made up of most of your quality owners and the members who put their time in to help the league function than it's a pretty important 10% no?

It's just a logical progression for the league. Some people were not going to be happy either way. I actually was taking a year off either way since I just don't think I will want to commit to three more seasons on a last gen game. I will certainly be back when NHL 16 (with OTP I would assume) comes out.

The league needs to continue to find the new players to build for the future. You won't find that on NHL 14. It's the right call.

With the loss of Jay Rulez we lose one good manager and roughly four second tags.

It's nine o'clock on a Sunday
The regular forum crowd shuffles in
There's a Noobinator sitting next to me
A winger as bad as Jamie McGinn

He says, "Hey look another two minute penalty
No, I know, it wasn't close
Pulled him out from his feet,
Craig put me out on the street,
And that's how my career goes"

Sing us a song you're worse than LeafsMan (@LeafyTV)
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a two minute penalty
And to your career we say good night

(I need better things to do at work)

what I do not get is that the majority of people on this website complained when there was no eashl for the xbox one. So the league then decides to give easports what they want with making people by the game if they want to participate in the league. The end result is that easports still gets their money. At the end of the day easports win from this decision and half the people lose, instead of one third of the people losing and easports losing. Makes sense.

For those of you still with a 360, does your local gamestop/video game store offer trade deals? I only ask because my local EB/Gamestop store offers a trade 3 games worth $10 or more and get $70 towards a new game or at least scrounge up some old games to get some credit back. It's some sort of compensation in a way to salvage some dollars if you didn't feel like paying full for a patch.

Obviously it blows that we can't play on the xbone because the NHL team couldn't get the job done. I don't see how anyone can get upset at the LG leaders for coming to this decision. Either way there will be upset players if this went the other way and LG stayed on 14.

For anyone that played NHL15 ER on the 360, I can't imagine them being able to go back to 14, and I know if LG was to stay with 14 the league would still lose players. NHL14 is atrocious compared to 15. Yea the pricetag in no way is worth it but it is what it is. If you wanna continue playing hockey in a league that offers 6s this is it. It's not about supporting EA or not. At the end, it's about supporting LG and helping it grow.

EA screwed you by not announcing earlier about the state of EASHL/OTP/CustomLobs and so people sold their 360 assuming LG would be moving forward onto the next platform. I dunno how many would have stayed if they knew sooner. What's done is done, move on.

I'll end up getting it after I finish destiny. From what I have heard is destiny is pretty short so it shouldn't be too long. I will be alone for quite some time as the most I could convince anyone to buy 15 was a price drop or a half priced used copy. What I expect for EA is record low numbers for 15, however, by November/December (season 20) that should grow by 25% as real nhl settles in and people need their hockey fix.

We can already see that 6's is going to be extremely difficult to find compared to years past. I feel like only around 100 people bought early access as I see the same people all day long. Most of us here are pretty hardcore when it comes to NHL and will buy it. But when the reviews start coming in and the casual players see a lower than normal score they might just look elsewhere.

Either way, probably a good decision for the league. This will definitely be an interesting year for video game hockey. In my opinion, the worst year for it since 07.

I didn't matter to me since i'm done with the 360 hockey engine, I hated nhl 14 with a passion 2 weeks into release and kept with it just so I could play in leagues. But I will not play that shit game for another year, especially after playing the xbox one version and as flawed as it may be. It's leaps and bounds better then the garbage on the 360.

Lets think positive. With the wave of retirements to come, it will allow more people show off skills. Whether those skills are managing, button or forum presence, It will allow a new gust of players to step up. The next three seasons may be a little slim but it will make a huge come back in NHL 16. And who doesn't like a good comeback story?

To all the retirees, take the needed break and come back even stronger in NHL 16.

Glad all of that is behind us and we can move forward. This must be what it feels like to complete a menstrual cycle.

Most everyone will return to the fold for NHL 16. The fear of membership attrition became less of a deciding factor for me. If support for 14 was up 60/40 then it's not so risky to assume enough people would stick around to support 2 seasons. Either start at 2000 members (on 14) and end up at 1500, or start at 1500 (on 15) and end up around 1500 (using rough, whole numbers). But it's easy to understand why the fluctuating/upward trajectory was chosen over the downward.

I get the call, even by just watching gameplay I could see differences(hope they are improvements). All I knew is that there were only 2 men that could tell me to buy NHL 15 and they just did, I'll likely grab this half ass addition to the nhl series on release day...sigh.
